There're many great games on steam... this is none of them.
Surprisingly okay. It's a two buck game with a huge open world mode... shockingly huge, like a bargain bin Vice City. The racing itself certainly isn't great but it's competent with proper racing game controller settings. And even though you can't do a lot of graphics options in-game and it looks ugly by default, go to OceanCityRacingRedux\UDKGame\Config\UDKEngine.ini And make the game 4K resolution, max anisotropy to 16, and a whole bunch of other stuff to make it look much nicer. Look at all these ragingly overheated reviews and ponder what people thought they were getting for the price of a pack of gum. A mystery. 5/10

----------------------------- Calling this a game is offensive and I find it shameful that this is still for sale on Steam: terrible graphics, glitchy textures, pedestrians sometimes made of steel and sometimes ghosts (you walk through them), some cars can be driven, many others cannot, the steering is the same for all cars (terrible) and they all have nitro, in addition to that apparently the developers ban photos that are posted by players with the intention of showing how ugly and buggy the game is.
Why did I ever buy this
The negative reviews are funny, and clearly written recently by youngsters with no frame of reference for what your average UE game was like in 2016. For $2, this game more than delivers. - It runs smooth - There's multiple vehicles that all handle better than expected - Large map with multiple tracks and routes - Graphics are fine, nothing spectacular, and sometimes buggy, but theyre there and they work. Bunch of toddlers on here crying about the game being bad, yet their favorites are FNAF and PUBG. get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ real, grow up
my hands arent even touching the handle bars on the quadbike 10/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing
If it had achievements I'd play longer
It's a cheap racing game, and has nothing really similar to GTA in any form other than what some of these other weird reviews say. Since apparently nobody else really broke down the game to explain why it's good/bad. I decided to take the time to do so. It's an older game without support for 1440p or higher, at least in the game settings. 1440p will still work when adjusted in the UDKEngine.ini file Loses points for:

The game flickers like crazy because it's an old UE3 game that lacks in game settings. Tried to fix the obvious issues with the Nvidia Control Panel and nothing would remove the flicker. Ended up finding out about the UDKEngine.ini file and was able to remove the flicker, not sure precisely what did it but it was most likely turning off vsync. It loses a point for not being able to adjust settings while in game.
Hitting parked vehicles (non drivable vehicles specifically) is like hitting a brick wall.
NPCs (in free roam) go through your vehicle when you try to run them down, guess this is a ghost town, GHOST CITY RACING.
In free roam only some vehicles can be driven. If you can see through the windows, you can drive them.
Music is ok, but annoying to me. Thankfully we can mute it and play our own.
Lack of multiplayer options and customization.
Losing too many points.

[strike]3/10[/strike]
Gains back points for:

Having decent driving mechanics and response.
Being $2 (It's cheap for a reason)
I only recommend games at 6+ ratings. This one didn't make the cut. I highly recommend this game to oblivious achievement hunters.
