Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Build and upgrade your base, craft equipment, mine resources, produce water, oxygen and food, explore an open world, and repair complex machinery in a technical survival sandbox.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

...but most importantly HAVE FUN on Mars!

Very fun and lots of stuff to do
Controls feel somewhat clunky. Too much emphasis on hunger/oxygen reserves mechanics.

sympa
Pretty disappointed in this title, been folowing along since the kickstarter and had higher hopes. Even the end was underwhelming,
spend all that time building the rocket just for it to jump to the main title screen when you ride the lift, no cutscene, no start-up sequence, just void.. if you ignore the prompt and continue to ride the lift you can't even access the rocket
And the worst part of all, when building the rocket, they didn't include a little radar dish in the nose cone you could look at while building it... what were they thinking... It's full of bugs like the heavy rover glitching into itself and flying around like klang from Space Engineers, rocks appearing after you smash into them on the motorbike doing 75 sending you flying across the empty plains of mars, which is pretty peaceful until the sudden stop at the end. Vehicles just stop respecting physics after approx 1 second in the air. Don't expect your vehicles to stay where you parked them before saving either, I saved in the heavy rover some 2.5km away from my base, next day I loaded back up and the rover had ejected me and teleported itself back to the crusher forcing me to leg it back to the base with limited supplies, which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't constantly hear that heartbeat noise when running. Tiny rocks, I'm talking the ones about the size of a tennis ball, send the mars truck into the upper atmosphere when you run over them. The jetpack... no left / right look, forced 3rd person, first person immersion just goes out the window there. Noises attached to the player and not their objects, e.g. you set the Big Crusher to make some things, go off in your rover, 1, 2 -> 10km away, doesn't matter, and it still sounds like you are right next to it, all you can hear is it creating things. I once died by just looking at a screen in the Greenhouse. Wacky controls that work slightly more than half the time, you will end up spamming 'E' on the same object / button to get anything done. Movement is pretty gross too, and that start sequence is pretty much the same it has always been, getting stuck on random environment objects is still annoying there, and the awful jumping mechanic. I also don't get how the timer is able to reset itself. As in, get to this point in a few mins, now you get a few more mins to get here, now a few more to get here, if it was because your helmet is leaking or radiation or whatever, why isn't it 5 mins total, here is a story, oh no can't go that way, try this way... also a 2 yr old would know not to launch a rocket in a sandstorm, wtf.. you would have been better off with an unseen meteor, or simply the engine exploding or something. You can't go anywhere near Uranium in the wild without losing health, but picking up a couple hundred rocks and shoving them in your pockets is perfectly fine. As at 1.0.7 it seems impossible to unlock some tech Spotty, Kilopower, Heavy Suit and continue the story, assuming there is more, the Abandon Tablets just stop working. Base building is ok, I would have prefered more freedom on the inside though, forcing only 8 interior modules in a giant building seems like a waste of space. The plants are pretty cool, although it seems if you want to automate food, the only real option is Baked Potato as it doesn't require constant attention to keep adding water in the form of unstackable bottles in to its tiny 4 slot inventory, even with a fully functional sink right beside it and inside a building with water supplies maxed out. So many bugs and issues that were reported by the early access testers just didn't get fixed, so much QoL oversight, it seems the people making the design decisions never played the game as a game, and it's a bit of a shame. I was expecting more to be honest for 1.0, I had hopes it would be more sciency like Stationeers.
