Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Build and upgrade your base, craft equipment, mine resources, produce water, oxygen and food, explore an open world, and repair complex machinery in a technical survival sandbox.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

...but most importantly HAVE FUN on Mars!

Oof. I cannot recommend this game at all. Everything just feels rough, giving off either rushed or AI slop vibes (which aren't helped by the rampant Space X and Tesla influences seen everywhere). For the sake of streaming I turned off the game music (have to make sure I avoid YouTube's contentID) and as a result the intro and much of the game were completely silent, your landing pod makes no sound at all. Then there's a psychological horror element of a crowd of people talking but the sound emanates from the centre of the room, not from the people supposedly producing those voices. I'm struggling to recall another game with sound effects that felt as awkward as this. I could go on, but honestly, just don't get the game. At this point I've played a truly silly amount of survival games and this one isn't worth your time.

Full of bugs everywhere. Played with a friend for 73 hours. It felt very good potential but constantly facing bugs and restarting all the time and the frustration became overwhelming. The game was NOT ready to be released.
No and NO, game crashes constantly. Controls are a nightmare. Does the game have potential YES. However, this needs serious tech support before i can even begin to recomment. Saving crashes, reload start again. NOPE wont do it.
As someone who has owned this since early access, they still haven't implemented proper controller support, even thought they now have released 1.0... If they can't follow through with something this simple, why trust them to follow through with anything else?
I wanted to love this game. This game is very addicting once you know what your doing and if its your first time playing the game, however for a returning player from each update to see whats been added and fixed. Was hyped for verion 1.0 but unfortunally for me there was not enough content that was added to the game. I feel much more could be added like voice acting and the missions quests have changed alittle but they are still very buggy. an example is 1 bug with the mission i came across was that at the start you drive the quad bike to alpha station and if you dont park in the right spot it wont work, another was when getting the big truck from alpha station, if you dont do it in order it wont update and progress. There is no survival tutorial apart from the intro when doing campaign not sure if i am the only one that gets this but the game aslo does not feel fully optamised, keep getting alot of deep frame drops and lag on SP. I will admit have MP added to the game is a nice addition however IMO it was to late. I will keep following this game and hoping for improvments so i can possible change my review however at this stage this game is a dislike for me
Honestly had so much fun figuring this game out (there is a definitely learning curve and the tutorial is a bit subpar) and getting to the point that I was fully self-sufficient and could do everything I wanted. However, I played on single-player and was very disappointed when I thought I was working toward something only to hit a huge wall and 'Come back later for more content' only to find out the developers were spending all of their time on co-op, seemingly leaving single player in the dust. I will update if/when single player is completed, but it's definitely disheartening to feel like they just don't care about single players at all. [Also, I played a lot, but the hours played is heavily skewed because I have a terrible tendency of leaving games on and walking away for hours or going to bed forgetting to turn them off. All of my play times are skewed because of this.]
