Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.29/day in the week to Aug 23 → 4.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
As the once-great Roman Empire falls into decadence and decay, you lead a small band of citizens in search of new lands hoping to build Nova Roma – a bastion for all that was once good in the Empire. Starting from a humble village, you must appease the gods with grand temples, sate your citizens’ many needs, and build a society that will be the envy of the world for millennia to come.

A wise city planner knows how to harness the world around them. Erect massive dams and aqueducts to control the flow of water as you reshape the land into artificial watersheds and reservoirs, paying close attention to how your actions impact soil fertility, or how a particularly rainy season might flood your city. Seek distant resource deposits and build infrastructure to transport raw materials and processed goods across massive stretches of untamed territory. Will you strike a delicate balance between the growing urban sprawl of your city and the risks of rapid expansion? Or will your hubris risk the wrath of the gods and nature itself?

Contend with a growing list of needs and desires as more people flock to your city – from pottery and wine to bread and games, it is your responsibility to keep the people happy and safe. Watch them grow into artisans, gladiators and thespians, and guide them through life as they spend their days toiling, and their nights enjoying the fruits of their labor.

As you consider matters of taxation and technological advancement, do not forget the powers that stand above you - build grand temples to the gods, avoiding their wrath and seeking their blessings to bolster your capabilities and ensure the continued prosperity of Nova Roma.
Featuring intricate water and weather simulations and the ever-present threat of divine intervention, Nova Roma explores the cultural, and social trials of the era. Take charge of your small Roman town and grow it into a bustling metropolis that will stand the test of time!

Nice game. Loved the water management system. Only criticism would be that resources like iron are sometimes scarce or too far spread out in the map. But that also adds to the natural flow of expansion. Looking forward to the future updates!
It's a great game! A lot of heart was poured into it and even though it's far from finished I am certain the devs will only stop, when this is peak! A few tweaks could be made, like giving the user sooner the opportunity to landscape or plant trees by hand (because a few along the roads would look awesome!) or setting up castelles instead of using the (main) barracks (which are very late game) to defend the homeland to those persky invaders! ;)

this is a great game i would recommend this to literally anyone even if u don't like this genre BUT in MY option kingdoms and castles is still better but either way imma put many more hours into this game and you should too
Remember it's still early, so not fully polished, but it's got a nice game mechanic reminiscent of early Civilization games. A complex enough system to be fun, but easy enough to get started without much frustration. Not much of a tutorial yet, though, nor an encyclopædia, so expect to spend some time figuring things out.
It's so much fun! This is truly an excellent piece of work.
This is a really fun city builder for hardcore lovers of the genre. I love the way that you can arrange the job board to prioritize your workers. Planning and building the water supply is super fun. I'm really looking forward to watching this game develop.
Spending a LOT of time with this - just my kind of fun! Things that I wish were easier - setting up supply lines, so local storage for a farm, sending goods to central stores, then distributing to the local housing/store supplies. BUG: Once I get so far into a game, the musical alert for an invasion beginning doesn't start and I only notice once half the map's on fire because I've been zoomed in managing some upgrade or whatever.
great
fun city bilding game
City builders seem to be a dime a dozen these days, and although I think that's a very good thing for management/sim lovers such as myself, it can be hard to bring yourself to buy/play yet another one, when everyone already has "their favorite," the game they keep going back to when all else fails (for me it's still Banished even to this day, that game just does something for me.) So looking at Nova Roma, you may wonder, "why this one?" Well, for me it's the Roman setting and simple yet pleasant graphics that made me finally decide to pick it up. The thoughtful city-building and logistics mechanics are what convinced me to stay. I find the game really pleasantly addictive to play. It's challenging without being absurd and deep without being overwhelming. I haven't played very much but I can see myself getting sucked in for a long time to come.
