Northern Journey

Probably one of the coolest indie games I've ever played. My appreciation for the game was heightened by learning how the developer made this game (look into it!). Combat is difficult but that's probably because it's unique (throwing weapons). Really atmospheric. Incredible soundtrack. IT NEEDS A VR UPGRADE. Holy cow this would be unbelievably amazing in VR.

Something I haven't seen others say in reviews is the music! It's so good, the soundtrack is eerie and calming, whimsical and beautiful. The best part is that the soundtrack is provided as an album in the game files! It feels like a lovely free easter egg to fans. The game itself is one of the most memorable I have played in a long time. I love a unique experience and this is delightfully strange.

Senhoras e Senhores, este é Nothern Journey, um jogo Fps com progressão linear. Devo dizer que conheci o jogo pelo vídeo "Master Awards 2023" do canal Master Alucard. Se passaram 3 e vim jogar e zerar-lo finalmente agora em 2026(hoje por sinal que estou escrevendo esta análise) Pois bem, o que me vendeu a ideia de comprar foi justamente minha vontade de querer conhecer esse mundo estranho e, de certa forma tambem, me fazer tambem a voltar a jogar jogos mais singleplayer sabe, jogos onde para ter uma boa experiência o jogardor precisa estar imerso. Então antes de jogar-lo eu sempre lavava a pia de minha casa, fechava a porta do meu quarto, a janela e trancava tudo, para que só existe-se eu e o Jogo, e isso me fez bem. Sobre o Jogo: Bem, o meu youtuber colocou um título como esse jogo sendo a "CURA PARA ARACNOFOBIA" KkKKkKk, se você tem este tipo de fobia ou qualquer outra que envolva insetos e tals realmente este jogo será um verdadeiro teste de coragem. Tirando isso, o jogo oferece inimigos místicos como trolls, Bruxas, demonios, e etc, tambem. Já o que é incrível são os cenários, o gráfico particulamente tem seu charme, e cada cenário tem sua música para deixar as coisas ainda mais atmosféricas. Gameplay: É um Fps com uma mira um tanto diferente KKkkk. Sua primeira arma é uma corda com pedra, aí o seu personagem gira ela e atira pedra fazendo a trajetória que é exibida no meio da tela. No começo é estranho mas depois pega o jeito. Chegou um momento que eu achava divertido testar minha pontaria com ela. Você vai liberar armas bem legais, e vai experenciar momentos bem esquisitos, então jogar sem spoilers é uma boa(Não que algum amigo seu vá conhecer este jogo e falar sobre né kKkK Este jogo é pouco conhecido até onde sei). Bem, serei breve Aqui em minha nota final, realmente o que mais importa para mim neste jogo foi seu começo e boa parte da aventura, teve algumas partes que achei azedas e pouco divertida, mas ainda sim me comprometi a zerar o jogo. Dou minha nota Final como um jogo 7/10 talvez um 8/10, mas recomfirmo meu 7/10. Tem seu mérito

Muy interesante, y raro. Sin duda se siente cómodo de jugar para lo raro que es su gunplay. Sin duda una joyita curiosa.

Falls off around 75% through the game and the boss fights aren't that good, but other than that I highly recommend. The aiming mechanic is cool and really helps set the game apart from other shooters. The atmosphere and tone of the game is really unique and is elevated fantastically by the music. Level design features a lot of verticality and sets a nice sense of scale. Using the pulley to rappel across levels and taking in the vistas, realising how far you've traversed and how much you've experienced, it's jaw dropping at points especially considering the low-fi graphics. It's simply incredible for a solo-dev project. I cannot begin to imagine the time and effort that was sunk into the development of this game, and I'm very happy to say it paid off.
