I really want to enjoy this game but the obvious use of AI is super off-putting. I'm not trying to hate on the game, don't get me wrong. I love the aesthetic of the store, the ambience and how low pressure the gameplay is, which is what pulled me in to begin with. The Roblox-like cartoon faces feel weird, it comes off as unsettling and immersion breaking to me. Also, my character literally goes bald with half of the hat cosmetics lol 😭 Unlocking new products via Gulp is pretty satisfying too. Although the repetitive reviews saying the exact same thing 2 reviews down does kinda ruin it for me, I enjoy reading stuff like that. Which is also links to my issue with the Threader app. The posts/comments don't really make sense to me sometimes? As if just randomly thrown in there or, like other people have mentioned, just generated by AI trying to mimic IRL Reddit threads. It just feels uncanny so I avoid it, which sucks ofc because like I said I usually enjoy reading random stuff like this in games. I assume this is a solo dev game? Which is understandable if they're new to making games and used AI to help build the foundations for something great and using placeholders, but I can't justify recommending this game in it's current state especially if they'll keep AI stuff and continue to use it. I also saw the dev listened to some reviews already and swapped out the AI posters in the store to one from an actual artist which I think is really cool and shows diligence. I can really respect that and I'd love give the game another chance in the future if things are rectified!

Love this game - I just hope there are way more items to be added to the future and maybe some hirable employees! But overall, love this game!
please just let me run faster or add choice to hire a helper. How am I supposed to restock, making sushi, and become cashier at the same time with my smoll feet and yet you still claimed it cozy ? haiyaaaa

This game has the perfect mix of cozy vibe and store management simulator. The radio music is diverse enough to feel natural, and the sushi-making part of the store feels like just the right level of complexity to feel interesting but not mentally straining. There is not much of a tutorial, though the computer does explain the purpose of the important apps when you open them. Additionally, the pacing is definitely slower than other market simulator games out there. Each day is around 18 minutes from open to close, with added time between days if you want to prepare anything in the store's downtime period. It is the perfect game to play for a couple hours when you don't want to feel stressed out. The most you will be doing is cleaning up after customers, preparing more sushi when it runs low, and doing a purchase and restock run when your normal product goes out of stock. This game would also be great with friends, but it does not currently support multiplayer or lan co-op / steam share. While it lacks automation or staffing options to take some of the cashier / restocking responsibilities away, it still feels manageable. There is also not a lot going on in the store that would warrant staffing, but if there were more things to do that would make the game feel less repetitive. I'd give the game a solid 4/5 for being a cute game to play (+ Cat Pets), and for the laid back environment the game takes place in. I can see updates being made as I am playing as well, so I do expect to see a lot of content added to this.
$10 for a really solid little simulation game. I've encountered absolutely no bugs so far, which is great for the job simulation games. Props to the devs for putting in proper quality control for the game. The sushi making mini-game is fairly enjoyable and the store customization feature seems pretty in-depth, although a bit intimidating. The combination of short and long term goals seems fairly decent so far, but we'll see how the late game grind goes. Really enjoy the fact that the game doesn't punish you for leaving people in line and recognizes that the shift timer itself acts as a pressure valve to checkout as many customers as possible. They managed to do a good job in making a distinction between "end of shift" chores and "beginning of shift" chores, which is honestly just impressive. Cleaning, paying bills, and making investments tends to be rewarded more for being done at the end of the shift while restocking is forced to a beginning of the shift task due to the nature of restock deliveries. All in all, I'm pretty impressed. Game has good bones to go in a lot of directions, be that deciding to go with DLC, expanding it and raising price over time, or just calling it a finished product and moving on. Although if they pick the third, I'd encourage them to stay in the genre. It's not often that you see companies actually releasing a product in this clean of a state in this genre anymore.
