Nigel Thornberry's moveset is absolutely cursed

I am recommending this game, but barely. What it has going for it is I feel it is an excellent love letter to nickelodeon in general and feels like a well balanced representation of the network over the years. What doesn't work as much is the janky mechanics and controls. It feels unpolished and almost half finished. The game got slightly better as it went along, but eventually it was abandoned to focus on a sequel. I will probably get the sequel someday, but this game was ultimately disappointing. Again, it brings a good nostalgia for Nickelodeon in general and functions as a passable smash clone that is legal on PC, but it could have and should have been better. 6/10

It's not as good as its sequel but there is still solid gameplay to be had. Why should you still consider this game? Easy: the roster. Many characters were cut from NASB2, and offer a feel to them unique to this game. Characters that are sorely missed include Shredder, Toph, Hugh Neutron and Sandy Cheeks amongst others. There's as many characters as NASB2 minus future DLC. I also enjoy how the air dashing goes longer. What I still don't like is the incomplete controller support (a problem NASB2 also has) and this game's approach to grabs.
