Feels spongy, unresponsive and not satisfying. Bought it on sale for 10 bucks and still regret it

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is actually really fun (I am basing it off of someone who likes to play competitively) The slime mechanic is fun and having smash attacks be a button rather the c stick or inputting it yourself feels incredible and something I wish other plat fighters could add. A downside is that this game is dead, I was playing my main (Rocksteady) online and once I reached Platinum 2 I found a top player playing Zuko and got my ass kicked 7 ways to sunday. Also there is bugs that can either make you float, makes you stuck and un able to move unless hit by an attack, and maps causing bugs. Let's start with the first of the ones I named, when using a super after filling up all 3 of the bars. If you are interrupted during it you can start floating and can pretty much stall out some characters. The second one is kind of biased because it's rocksteady exclusive but if you are hit during the slimed version of side B at the right time, you'll be stuck an un able to move. I have lost games because I was stuck and the person I was versing got a free F smash and killed me. Lastly one of the competitive stages that are one of the online stages has a bug. All of these can ruin the experience for people from liking an actually fun game. Wavedashing is in the game but not any other mechanics like moonwalking and L canceling but those are not needed to be fun, this game is very balanced. Even the low tiers and even bottom tiers (Besides patrick) are viable and can be a challenge in competitive, Zuko has an exploitable recovery but he has good combo game, Grandma has a ♥♥♥♥ recovery but cool ass combos, Ember has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that if hit off stage can kill you at 0. All of these characters are hard to deal with while still sucking. The game is a lot of fun and you should play it
lasted longer than multiversus.
good campaign and silly combat system but the best part is the music. you imagine a goofy fighting game having a goofy ost, but no the music are all hard bangers like you are going into the most legendary of all battle, its real good and epic
All-Star Brawl 2 is aimed to replicate classic platform fighter feeling with the overlapped timeframe nostalgia of Nickelodeon, which somehow continues to maintain relevancy even into the modernization of media. Here we see a suite of nickelodeon characters in another party-genre title, dipping into a roguelike campaign meant to embellish the positives of the platform fighter systems that have allowed such a genre to become popular. It takes a lot of inspiration from the fighting genre as a whole, and attempts to rationalize the difference between the platform fighter vs 2D fighter. The characters have a lot of charm, the voice acting is well done relation to other games associated with Nick, and the music/sound direction is its biggest strength all together. However, there are very frequent moments where visual bugs or overlooked animations make the game look extremely rushed. This doesn't help that it released in a thin timeframe compared to the first, which didn't receive much care after the game released. This has been a standard of Fair Play Games, and ultimately makes most every game they release feel trapped in the Wii shovelware era. No amount of care for the genre can fix what isn't being considered a standard before hand. It's more of an artifact of what we could have, I heavily recommend you avoid this even on sale. The servers are extra empty anyway, even if I could recommend it.
Not gonna lie, when I bought this game I was ready for it to be one of those cheap Smash clones, especially due to the bad reputation of the first game, which I've never played, but this one is actually really good! I'm on my way to platinum it on PS and bought it here on steam as well. The gameplay is really fun and responsive, each character feels unique and not a copy/paste of the others, their in game models are also really good and they have different costumes too and not only different color pallets, the music is awesome and it has so many different game modes! There's an arcade mode, although with no little story and ending for each character, but still really fun, the fights goes from simple 1v1 to 1v3 or 2v2 or 2v1, it's not always the same for each run, there's a boss rush mode, there are two minigames, there's a survival mode and a full on campaing mode, fully voiced and with rogue-like mechanics such as items and some powerups to mod de gameplay a bit, the story is actuwlly pretty good too. The arenas and the roster are pretty good too, 29 characters if you get the version with the dlc. This game genuinely deserves way more love than it gets because, from what I saw from the first one, this was a MASSIVE step forward and i seriously hope we get a 3rd entry in the series. Do a nick vs cn for the third one cause i want Azula and Samurai Jack to throw hands No Toph in the game, though. Other than that, it's amazing! It's really cheap on sale, so buy it, it's totally worth it.
this game is really cool but like only competitively, its like if smash melee exploded and its peices were reassembled with a blindfold on.
Strap In for a Rant
I was caught off guard with how good this is. I looked up some reviews and saw that IGN gave this a 9/10. When I first saw that, I felt compelled to immediately dismiss the opinion. They gave Smash Ultimate a 9.4, and although I can't say that I fully agree with this game's score reaching up and tickling Smash Ultimate, I kinda do get why someone could like it that much. This is easily an 8/10 in my opinion, but the content itself is what hurts the score from reaching greatness. This is gonna be subjective as heck, but here it is:
The First Problem On the List: Hey Arnold!
Firstly, certain characters from key franchises are not represented. For example, Gerald is a playable character... but Arnold isn't? Arnold's GRANDMOTHER is a character... The show is literally called "HEY ARNOLD!" No Arnold? What?! This one example is a running theme for much of this game's character roster.
The Next One: The Wild Thornberrys
The same case goes for Eliza Thornberry. She's not in the game! But her dad is... WHY? I'm not saying he's a bad character, but he definitely wasn't the main character of the show. Eliza should have been in the game, or at least her older sister, but one of the parents? What was the logic behind this choice? Eliza and her sister were the characters 90's kids identified with most, but no, instead here comes... Eliza's dad? What a tone def and terrible choice.
I'll Go Lighter Here: Rugrats
I’m gonna go easier on this one because there is a legit reason for why Reptar was chosen, who in my opinion is the ONLY character that gets a pass, but this decision was still not without its issues: First off, the game needed a Bowser Clone, so enter Reptar. Probably the biggest reason he’s in the game. Second, and more importantly, I'm guessing they went with Reptar because the obvious choice of Tommy Pickles, or any of the other babies, would have been morally messy. Even though it’s only cartoon violence, a game featuring literal babies that you can beat up probably wouldn’t go over well with lots of people, so it’s understandable why they didn’t go with any of the actual Rugrats. However, Reptar by himself as the sole and only representation for the show seems very frail to me. In my opinion, they needed a second Rugrats character to fill the role of representation. Since the babies were off the table; my suggestion: Stu Pickles. Stu would have been PERFECT for this game. He’s a toy inventor, working primarily out of his basement, which was basically a toy lab... That right there was a content pack for both an awesome character AND a stage, but nope. No Stu. Instead, just Reptar. Yet another questionable move by the dev team. Reptar is fine, don’t get me wrong, but he isn’t a stand in for the babies. Stu, on the other hand, would have been very fitting. I get that they needed their Bowser for this game, but they should have included Stu as well. Reptar just doesn’t carry the weight of representation for Rugrats. Stu would have. It’s like if Rocko was unavailable for some reason, so the devs chose Mr. Bighead instead, meanwhile Heffer is sitting in the corner just saying “dude...”
My Flame Shields Are Up for This One... TMNT
This next one is gonna tick some people off, but here goes: Two of the Ninja Turtles are also in this game, and they're another weird case. I will preface this next criticism by saying that I realize this one is far more divisive, since everyone has their favorite turtle, but I think there is an objective answer as far as representation goes. The turtles the devs chose for the game are Raphael and Donatello. Let's be honest with ourselves, it should have been Leonardo and Michelangelo. Starting with Leo, he's the face of the turtles. He's the eldest brother and the leader of the group. This is on the same level of the previous examples, where the main character is no present. Leonardo was non-negotiable. As for the second turtle slot, it's more up in the air, but I would make a strong argument for Michelangelo since he's the fan favorite. That's all the logic I need. Fans love him, and this is a fan service game. Enough said. So, to me, what would have made the most sense would be the leader for mainline representation, and the fan favorite because FANS LOVE HIM. But instead, what did the devs do? They threw in the franchise's anti leader, Raphael, along with the LEAST liked turtle of the four, Donatello. Sorry Raph and Donny fans, but fan polls don't lie: Leo > Raph Mike > Don And yes, I know Leo and Mike were in the first game. I don't care. It still doesn’t feel right. Honestly, the best solution would have been to have all four turtles included. It’s Ninja turtles. I doubt anyone would have been against the idea.
Aaahh!!! Real Monsters... A GLARING Omission
Then there's major franchises that didn't get any representation AT ALL. No Aaahh!!! Real Monsters? Really? For a game like THIS?? What a misfire! The characters are dynamic horror creatures that transform into more horrifying horror creatures. Are there more perfect candidates for a platform fighter? The moves they could have had would have been SO incredibly creative. And who wouldn't have wanted a stage themed around the underground classroom with the Gromble and Snorch acting as background hazards? They could have even had the projector chair be a stage hazard. What a missed opportunity!
Other Glaring Omissions.
Another incredibly glaring omission is The Fairly Odd Parents. No explanation needed. I'll toss Rocket Power in there too. Oh, and No CatDog. Or Doug. Ugh...
FIVE AVATAR CHARACTERS?!
Then there's at least one franchise that got TOO much representation. For some odd reason, there's five Avatar characters here. Two of them are DLC characters, which means the devs thought people wanted MORE avatar. Three was already a lot! Let's put our honesty caps on guys; when people think about Nicktoons, does a serious, drama filled, coming of age show like Avatar come to anyone's mind? The answer is NO, yet it got five character slots? Seriously? I'd bet anything that most people would easily trade any two Avatar characters for Mike and Leo. Heck, some of these slots could have went to the aforementioned franchises that didn't get any representation at all! But nah. Let's just overclock representation for AVATAR.
Okay, I'm Finished
I know this was really ranty, but these omissions are so glaring that they're worth talking about. Some of the compromises made here seem to be without warrant, as though the devs did them just to do them, which is why I can't agree with IGN's score. It's a fan service game that cuts numerous critical key characters. I don't feel like dropping the score is an overreaction. However, mechanically, this is such a solid game. For as under represented as some of the franchises are (or just straight up not present at all), there's a ton of content here, which does make things somewhat forgivable. The stages will have fans perking up saying "that was from the show!" as well as the moves that the characters do, and there's lots of both. There's even a story mode with full voice acting. I know I'm glossing over the good here, but just know that this game is absolutely worth your money, in spite of my complaints. The content just needed to be better tailored to fit the audience it was speaking to, but strictly as a game, it's excellent.
