The perfect next installation in the My Time at series as it really builds on from the previous game in such a great way. You can really tell that the game devs listened to the players when building the second installment. The game has just as much heart and humour as the first, but actual gameplay is massively improved. Can't wait for the third installment when it comes!
I can't wait to be done with this game. It really IS fun, but I've had too many sessions where I've lost hours of effort because of a crash after the save not working properly. Now I save in slots 1 and 2 with other backups to avoid this. I shouldn't have to do that. Other notes: Hiring a helper requires me to tap the screen instead of being able to just use my steam deck buttons. Logan cutscene getting out of the rain freezes the game. There's one or two inaccessible chests in the starship coming up on the big fight. There's an inaccessible chest near the oasis? It keeps popping up, I look everywhere and can't see it. The icon eventually goes away just to pop up again later. The wiki says it's there but doesn't say how to get it. The load times are killing me. This baby eats SOOOOO much battery. It could absolutely be optimized better. Speaking of optimizing. WHAT is happening with the n tag?? Water, power stones, and a few other resources constantly undo themselves and notify me again later that it's newly acquired!! No, it isn't!! Small optimizing with the horsey would be nice so I don't trip on the rock coming out of the Valley of Whipsers ty <3 It really is fun. I'm just frustrated to tears making this work. I'm so sad they're working on another game before really completing this one. Especially when the characters don't change expressions in very inappropriate times. Ugh.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Rating - 4.5 stars out of 5
This is a pretty cute story and the characters are very diverse to give you a lot of different personalities to enjoy. Overall I think that the game has a great balance of automation, combat and gathering but can definitely be a struggle to find a groove. While I think that all things are obtainable, the point system for gaining knowledge points is kind of a grind however you can get everything you "need" with proper amounts of effort rather than a huge grind (unless you are going for 100%). For my hunters out there - I would recommend you taking the time to talk to people as the days progress rather than leaving that aspect for later... it will be your downfall in the end.
Achievement Hunters:
Can you gather all achievements through a play through? ☑ Yes ☐ No ☐ Sort of Are they a grind? ☑ Yes & no - They CAN be, I think if I would have paid more attention from the beginning to just randomly talk to people as I ran by them, the end would have been so much of a grind but overall everything is obtainable through regular gameplay. ☐ No Is progress tracked? ☐ Yes ☐ No ☑ N/A Are there achievements that require DLC? ☐ Yes ☐ No ☑ N/A
I love this game with my whole heart and soul. I played Portia a long time ago, and it never felt right - the story was intriguing and the world that they built was way bigger than I expected but it didn't run well and felt tedious. So for years I kind of avoided playing Sandrock, but my goodness how glad I am to have jumped into it. I'm currently playing through the story for a second time and the world this game built is so cozy with so many incredible characters that I can play for hours without it feeling tedious. The amount of quests in this game feels never ending - on my first playthrough I kept getting sad that I was getting close to the end of the game when it launched me on a totally different MASSIVE quest that extended the game for hours and hours. I was so excited that the game not only allowed romance options but there was SO MUCH growth after marriage that other games don't explore well! In addition to that, while it keeps the cartoon-y aesthetic of Portia, this game is BEAUTIFUL to look at. The environment is so pretty and changes based on how far you progress in the game - I really feel like it's a little old west town and seeing it expand and change over time is just lovely. Finally, the story. I wasn't expecting it to run parallel to Portia, so when I got to certain quests in the game I was shocked that I was seeing the other side of the quests I did in that game. Not only that, but this game really leans into both the old west, bandit-chasing theme while still building out its in game world. I was so engaged by the post-apocalypse atmosphere that they built - something that I was only moderately aware of in Portia. And the writing is genuinely incredible (and sad) as well as hilarious at times. RUN don't walk to play this game. I am dying to play Evershine when it comes out, but truthfully I will always be thinking about Sandrock!
不错。。
The game is amazing even if it still has some bugs (but we can use some of them), the story is cured and the characters are nice, not deep but this is expected. I played not just once but twice and i'm not gonna play a third time cos ...well cos of Pen and his arc. Pathea... we need to talk about Pen. I have just one complaint about My Time at Sandrock, and it's a big one. You created one of the funniest, most memorable, over-the-top characters in the game... and then you didn't give him a proper romance arc! Pen has so much personality that it feels like there's an entire story left untold. I kept hoping there would be a chance to flirt with him, watch him grow as a character, build a real relationship, and maybe even marry him. Instead, I was left thinking, "Wait... that's it?" I know creating new content isn't easy, but if there was ever a character who deserves a dedicated romance storyline, it's Pen. I'd buy that DLC in a heartbeat. Please consider giving him his own romantic story someday. I know I'm not the only player who wants to see what a full Pen romance could look like. Until then... I'll keep hoping. #JusticeForPen <3
MTAS my beloved. I've played this game completely through 4 separate times. FANTASTIC worldbuilding, extremely colorful and entertaining cast of townies, and the relationship mechanics are, while they are a liiiittle buggy and repetitive (mainly the play dates), leagues ahead of what they were in Portia and also a lot more in depth than mechanics I've seen in other "farming sim" type games. Also idk what Pathea was on when they decided to give a "farming sim" type game a plot THIS wild but I am SO glad they did. If I could stay in the intrigue of Parts 1 and 2 for the entire game, I would. I've played Portia, and while I'm glad I got to see the game that came before this, I'm never going to play that game again. Sandrock, however? I will absolutely play this again eventually. If you are concerned about this game because you played Portia and got burned by the soul crushing grind in that title, don't worry! That grind is NOT in Sandrock and there's a much stronger emphasis on characters and story. Really, really excellent game. Easily in the top 5 of "farming sim" type games for me. My one criticism: You are funneled into a select handful of townies for the romance options and they have WAY more content than the others. Some townies have no romance content at all, despite being romanceable. Thankfully Logan ended up being the perfect option for my Builder by far, but it does make me REALLY sad that I'm almost warned off of romancing characters like Qi just because of the lack of romance content. In future installments, I would much prefer a focus on quality rather than quantity and a more balanced pool of romance candidates so I don't feel like some of the options aren't actually options at all.
好游戏 一级棒!教会了我生活中的点点滴滴 认识了许多朋友
I loved My Time At Portia, and loved My Time At Sandrock. I can't wait for the next game in the series to one day come out. There are many things that are a vast improvement from the first game. I'm just still amazed at how much there is to do in game. I've completed every side quest (except for some post game ones or dating specific characters) and obtained all achievements. This game definitely isn't triple A with at times some bugs, at times no voiced lines (it's a small amount compared to the total, but definitely scattered throughout and a bit jarring), and a bit of jank, but it's just generally a lot of fun, and with so much charm. This game has a great mix of gathering and crafting (a bit different from typical surival games), combat, and most importantly relationships and story. Definitely consider it, especially so if on sale or in a bundle. I will happily put this game to rest with fond memories.
