Playing this almost immediately after watching Crank 2 was a real treat. The premise is so similar between this game and the Crank films and just as fun. Kill fast, kill furious or die slow. The 80's anime OVA inspired graphics are so incredible and I've unironically had my Steam Profile Pic as an animation from this game without even knowing it was from this game for years now. The anti-AI premise kicks complete ass too and feels even more relevant than ever. You probably won't enjoy Mullet Madjack much if you're looking for a traditional boomer shooter, it's far more arcadey but it has incredibly precise, quick and easy controls to back up that arcade feel and chasing top scores is a joy. I even got 220 in the world on one of the endless modes just by simply spamming it while waiting for friends to get on for Deadlock. Mullet Madjack is definitely going to be my "white noise" game for a while, trying to collect every last item, because the core gameplay loop is so fun. My only true complaint is that the vaporwave soundtrack feels repetitive and doesn't really have any highlight tracks, which a banging soundtrack would really go far towards elevating a game like this. Beyond that, you have innumerous ways to blow robots up, tons of variety on the different gamemodes, from no weapons mode to randomized weapons mode, each with their own unlocks and leaderboards. You will be satiated for quite some time if you have a craving for break neck speed shooters. I'm talking under 20 seconds a level fast. An absolute adrenaline shot of a game.

This game is a blend of the coolest things of mid 20's. Absolutely LOVED it. Sad I can't become streamer's slave, but oh well
I have no idea why I haven't made a review of this game yet so here goes. I'll start off by saying that this games artstyle is fricking awesome. I love how the upgrades look and the animations in between boss levels are pure peak. The look of the robots are also really cool. I do feel like the bosses are a bit too easy. Like the first and second boss are just a copy of eachother but the level 20 boss can move. But I dont really mind that at all, more carnage for me I guess. The story is really in-depth and straight forward at the same time. U have to save an influencer from a crazy robobillianaire named Mr.Bullet. But the other side of the story is that people in this world constantly need dopamine to live. Which doesn't really get explained that clearly. Overall I think MMJ, or Mullet Madjack is pure peak and should have a bigger playerbase. Thats all from me.
Pretty fun fast paced brain off shooter. I got it as part of a bundle with a lot of other good shooters and it was good value but I wouldn't say its worth it at full price - game completed in less than 2 hours. Yes there's endless mode etc but still.
MULLET MADJACK is absolute caffeine-fueled chaos. The whole game feels like someone took an arcade FPS, injected it with anime energy, and then told you that you have about three seconds to kill everyone before you die. The fast-paced combat forces you to constantly move, aim, and make decisions without giving you much time to breathe. The shooting feels fantastic, the enemies are satisfying to blow apart, and chaining kills together while racing through levels is incredibly addictive. The retro visuals and over-the-top presentation fit the game perfectly, while the soundtrack makes every run feel like you're starring in the world's most unhinged action anime. It's difficult, but the short runs make failure feel more like motivation than punishment. You immediately want to jump back in and try to beat your previous run. **10/10 — my heart rate has never been this high from clicking on people.**
