Moonlighter reminds me a lot of a DS game called master of the monster lair, pretty good game overall so far

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Incredible game with some shocking oversights and issues It's a bit late to be reviewing this but I remember playing back on Xbox in the day and have been really enjoying going back to it on PC. For whatever sale price you see it at, it's totally worth the buy despite my complaints. However, my issues with it will make me wait for a sale on the sequel... as much as I want to play it. So, first, the positives: this is one of the most addictive game loops of all time. I didn't realize this came out before Hades, I wonder how much they owe it in terms of the breakthrough in roguelikes that the time spent outside of the dungeon is as important as the time spent within. Doing the same dungeon gameplay over and over again needs lots of things to keep it fresh, but one of the best novel ways to keep it fresh is to have separate systems, goals and rewards in the "downtime" between runs. This game nailed that and was the first I personally remember to do so with the relationship between dungeon crawling for items and then trying to sell them the following day. I don't know how to explain it but it's so fun to set prices that are too high and slowly lower them until the people begrudgingly buy them, but also to lock in the perfect price that keeps people happy without feeling like you've given up value. Heck, it's even fun to price something at what seems like a high price point and watch the people smile delightfully at the deal price, realize "oh sh!t I priced that incorrectly, it's worth way more than that!" and then adjust. Then you get to know the value of stuff and can adjust your backpack dynamically during a run, you can guess prices and get perfect ranges on the first try, ahhhhh it's so fun! The dungeon gameplay is surprisingly difficult, especially at first, but this just motivates you to figure out the store mechanics so you can buff your weapons. A lot of the weapons feel pretty weak compared to the one or two really good ones, but nothing's perfect. This is an 8 or 9 out of 10 game, no question, not perfect... but once you get a weapon you like and start upgrading it, the system in place to make temporary doors part-way through the dungeon, then go home and stock up on potions and stuff to make a final assault against the big boss is solid... then you unlock a new place with rarer items and suddenly all your budgets explode with possibility for new stuff to buy and upgrade! This really nails the "just one more" feeling for me, especially because every run makes me want to sell, but every sale day makes me want to spend, and every upgrade makes me want to get back into the dungeon and see how much more powerful and/or resilient I am now! Major issues though: -Controller remapping does not work. You "can" remap the controller, but a bunch of buttons just ignore your instructions. For example, "a" on an xbox controller is always use/talk/etc, so if you try to set it to dodge (like Hades), now you can't do stuff anymore because you guy jumps away from everyone you want to talk to... similarly, "y" on the xbox controller ALWAYS switches your weapons, so good luck trying to use that button for something else. This is pretty busted in my opinion. I tried to fix it by setting a different button for the actual "yes" or "confirm" button in the menus, which then did replace the touch/talk/use function in game, but then the menus felt really weird... overall a terrible experience that left me with the original control scheme that I don't love. I have gotten used to it cus I do love the game but this isn't really functional controller remapping. I really hope the sequel has fixed this because I remember complaining about this in the original Xbox release if I am not mistaken... -The cash register sound effect when people buy things is so loud! It doesn't seem to be reduced by the sound effects slider in the menu, or if it is, it's so much louder than every other sound. I want to enjoy people buying things from me, not wince when they do! -No teleportation between rooms in the dungeon. If we were going for gritty realism here I might get it, but this guy has a magical pendant... he can teleport already... why do I have to slowly walk back through 3, 5 or even more rooms if I happen to have gone the "wrong" way in the random dungeon? Why can't I just open the map and teleport to the last place with a new direction to go? -Related: Some of the hazards (poison, magma) are too thick to dodge over, so it feels like to even cross the room I have to take a hit... when you then find yourself at a dead end and have to walk back, I am then forced again to take a hit dodging over these hazards, so this can easily wipe your starting shields from the upgraded bed without any fault of you the player. Feels unnecessary and unfair -No indication of where to put some of the decorations, had to look online (tiny tiny barely visible bounding boxes on the wall show where, for example, flowers can be hung) I probably have more... basically the game is so fun and addictive I don't care about any of this but it would be nice if it was better, hopefully the sequel has fixed these issues!
After playing this game for 10 hours, i can the theme is quite good the, specially the music is more epic specially the black smith shop once, The hammering sound give you good vibes also the game play is really good and the effort which you put to upgrade the stuff kept you to engage, 10/9 i am playing on integrated Processer GPU and it running smooth
Jogo muito divertido e com uma experiência inovadora. Não esperava me divertir tanto com ele, me surpreendi.
