Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Monster Train 1 was a very good game - but one that never reached close to Slay the Spire in regards to roguelike deckbuilders. Monster Train 2 however is improved in every conceivable way - and whilst Slay the Spire 2 may still take the biscuit for GOAT franchise in this genre, I have nothing but praise for the developers, this is a genuinely fantastic game chocked full of replicability.
This is by far my favorite Roguelike/deck builder, which was previously held by the first game. The deck combinations and creativity in how you're able to customize your runs and individual cards is something I felt was missing in it's contemporaries, and the tower defense style "wave after wave" combat is incredibly engaging and has your attention planning not just one character's turn but effectively up to 4 battles at once per turn. The art direction is both gorgeous and often times silly, the soundtrack is "no skips" banger after banger, and the little story and world building snippets between runs are fun additions that builds upon the foundations set by the first game. 140 hours in and, especially with the masterfully crafted DLC, I can easily see myself putting a couple hundred more into this game.

I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game for Christmas in 2021 from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So i decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.
After being 20 hours in MT 2, I was caught completely off guard by the return of all MT 1 tribes, even the DLC, which totals them to 11 in the base game. Couldn't be happier concerning the rich content and gameplay of MT 2! Wanted to stop by and shout out a big thumbs up at the devs, thank you!
Would be nice if I didn't need hyper-specific builds to beat the game.
