Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Would be nice if I didn't need hyper-specific builds to beat the game.
E aí chegamos à DLC Destiny of the Railforged.
Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 659: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10) First, I gotta say a HUGE thank you to my friend Oncus for gifting me this game. Check out his Steam group "Card Game KING" here. And I'm so glad he did, for my eyes have opened to the incredible-ness of Monster Train 2. I haven't played the first one, so I was a bit baffled by the hype for this game. Monsters? On a train? With only three floors? HUH? However, I understand all the love now; I truly do. I can easily imagine myself sinking 100+ hours into this bad boy.
Pros:
✅ The sheer amount of STUFF. People have already written approximately twelve million words about how good Monster Train 2's core gameplay is, so I'm not going to rehash that. What I do want to talk about is just how much this game gives you to play with. There are 11 clans (before DLC), 22 champions, an enormous pile of spells, equipment, artifacts, rooms, upgrades, enhancements, Pyre options, random events, and whatever other little systems I've forgotten. And all of these things interact with each other in ways that make the game feel ridiculously deep. Of course, you don't have just one clan to play with. You get a primary AND secondary clan. ✅ The game lets me undo my own stupidity. I know, I know. Restarting battles and undoing turns probably go against the sacred principles of roguelikes or whatever. I don't care. I am only human, and sometimes I click the End Turn button too early! Being able to undo a turn when I've made a genuine mistake is fantastic, and restarting a battle is useful when I realize that my strategy—not necessarily my deck—was the problem. It helps me learn a lot! ✅ The story is ... surprisingly wholesome?! I'm always happy when a roguelike bothers to give me a reason to care about the world beyond "numbers go up." Monster Train 2 uses a visual-novel-style presentation for its main story, along with smaller character scenes that show how the different clans interact with one another. I like having little glimpses of the characters and their relationships between runs, and some of the clan interactions are actually cute. ✅ Perfect on Steam Deck!
Cons:
🟥 The UI can look like a mobile game. I actually really like the individual art designs. The angels and demons are detailed, distinctive, and clearly had a lot of love put into them. The problem is that when you put everything on screen at once—health bars, buffs, debuffs, abilities, upgrades, status effects, damage numbers, icons, and so on—it gets visually overwhelming. There are moments where I'm staring at the battlefield thinking, "Okay, which of these twelve glowing symbols means what?" The individual elements look great; it's the sheer density of them that makes the presentation feel cluttered. Sometimes I'm just like 🤷♀️ Big number go up, I guess! 🟥 The learning curve is steep. Monster Train 2 throws a frankly ridiculous number of systems at you, and understanding what everything does is one thing; understanding how all of those systems interact is another. The game does explain its mechanics, but it can still feel overwhelming when you're first starting out. The depth is ultimately one of the game's greatest strengths, but getting to the point where you can actually use that depth effectively takes some time. Absolutely addictive. The amount of variety and viable builds is astounding and makes each run feel unique.
Better than the original in every way. around double the content. One of the best deckbuilders ever made
