The legendary monster training duology, “Monster Rancher” and “Monster Rancher 2”, is back!

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great Classic Game. Raising a monster is always fun and trying to run through the game to get new monsters is fun. There's a lot of helpful guides and mods out there to enhance your playthrough. Hopefully they will bring the rest of the series to PC.

Has a few minor bugs but given a big makeover remaster and improvement from the original game on the playstation 2. A lovely and cozy monster training and pet breeder sim where you can train them to be very strong for certain aspects of the game and enter them in tournaments to be the very best, like no-one ever was.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Absolutely one of my favorite games, nothing has ever clicked for me so easily. The gameplay itself is easy to understand and fun to actually play, the different aspects of the game keeps my full attention the entire time i'm playing there wasn't a single second of my so far 7 hours played as of making this review where i felt bored in the slightest. Genuinely one of the best games i've played its kept me entertained and i have so much learning new things with every monster!

It's hard for me to recommend this game to casual monster tamer fans. To this day, no other title has tried the kind of simulation that Monster Rancher does, and for a number of games in a row that has included Monster Rancher. But if your favorite kind of gameplay is menuing and min-maxing, no other game in the monster tamer sub-genre hits quite like this. A lot of the game's information is hidden from you, which you may enjoy or you may find frustrating; there are tools online that will help you see what's hiding from you, and will make the overall experience more enjoyable. This style of simulation is definitely something you should experience if you're a fan of other monster tamers. Somewhere between Monster Rancher's gameplay and Beastieball's story is my ideal game.
kinda the best game ever
Fantastic game overall, there are some very minor improvements over the original. Being able to electronically get any monster you want that required IRL physical discs on the original is a welcome improvement if you are a fan of the original, however it loses all the charm that the OG version had so I don't recommend getting this if you are new to the series. In my opinion it's really just for lovers of the original game to jump back in because outside that perspective, the game really lacks the content vs the price when weighed up against modern indie offerings at the same price point.
