For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This looks fine so far. I think that some players never played the original Civ or Civ II, or Civ III, come to that. There were no leaders. Leaders are a newer concept made to get you to spend more money on useless DLCs. In the beginning, you picked a PEOPLE, not a leader. That is what you do in this game. What I don't like is that I cannot name the cities myself. Also, please create more civilizations, but do not sell them as DLCs. Really. What I really like? No stupid cartoon characters. I'm not 5 years old anymore. No irritating voices. No religious groups who are normally peaceful being blood-thirsty. I think that the introduction of religions was a mistake in Civ X - whenever those came into it. I forget. It was not a problem for me until Civ VI. Civ V was mehhhh. Civ IV was still really good. I think this is a nice alternative to the money-grubbing Sid Meier corporation. Thank you!!
This is a hard one to recommend because I don't think it is for everyone. It does some things (such as ages) better than any other 4X games. Other parts (such as diplomacy) seem to be under-developed. One bit of warning. Don't be fooled by the graphics. I recommend having a good PC for this game. Each age tries to add new mechanics and there are 9 total ages. That means that by age 9 you have a pretty complex game with lots of content going. I started seeing performance issues at around age 8 and my PC exceeds the recommendations for this game.
I understand why the reviews for this game are mostly negative (so as mine). I expected a lot from Paradox, being a fan of their games such as Europa Universalis. However, this game resembles Civilization a lot, but it lacks good interface, graphics, and AI game quality. I do think that they introduced very interesting features, like in economy, the possibility of working with product chains (e.g., if you have cotton, with proper technology you can create textiles from it). To be honest, there are too many games in this area at the moment and I think the industry would benefit more if some of these producers/publishers/developers would partner up and build games together. Paradox can definitely contribute a lot with economical, political and historical depth. But Millennia looks like a beta version of a game from 10-20 years ago. For the price, I expected more.
The game makes a good impression at first glance, but it has a huge blancing problem. This is caused by the random distribution of the tribal villages, through the exploration of which you earn bonuses, and the bonuses gained, which are also random. Especially in multiplayer, it becomes clear how much this mechanism influences the course of the game through pure luck. In addition, there are barbarians (armies) that roam the land and kill you in the Stone Age if you are not careful. It's also a shame that the structure is always the same. After 2-3 games with my friends, I found a good process for the beginning and didn't change it anymore - because it makes too little difference.
First of all I want to say that I really like Millennia. It does scratch that itch of waiting for Civ7. There are a couple of places the improvements could be done but overall it offers a good and interesting experience. What I love about the game: - Variant, Crisis, Normal, and Victory ages are great to allow for different strategies and offer different opportunities and challenges every game, - Production chains make the game more interesting and allow for customisation of cities to focus on the strengths of the resources within the city borders, - National spirits - again allow for the different customisation and make every game feel slightly different. - Combat - I like the growing armies through the ages, I think there is a nice balance between the single unit and the stack, so the screen is neither full of soldiers or stacks of doom What can be improved: - In the building section I would like to see some filter function for different resources to reduce the number of icons on the screen and allow for easier construction of specific chains, - Towns could be more customisable, maybe give us ability to build some buildings further enhancing their role, - Victory screen - not really very rewarding. I would like to see an option to view a progress story with the most important events highlighted. I really like these screens in Civ when you can watch your empire grow through years after you win (or lose) the game, - New customisation options when creating a new game to increase/decrease a pace, e.g. allow for less or more technologies needed to advance to the next age. Separate adjustments to criteria to trigger special ages to make it easier/harder to obtain them, - I am missing a good and interesting future era with futuristic units beyond Age 10, I know the Age of Archangels has some but I would like to see them going beyond that, - City states need improvement, maybe auto upgrade their defences to the Age the world is in so they offer some challenge as at the moment they just sit there waiting to be conquered. Offer some benefits from leaving them unharmed so it sometimes more useful to trade with them rather then defeating them. Overall I would rate this game as a solid 7/10 with the potential to go higher once more DLC roll out and some improvements are implemented.
