In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 44.14/day in the week to Aug 12 → 52.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Some people calls him Bourbon , i call him friend
Once again, this is another game I wish I could just give a Meh option rather than Thumb Up or Thumb Down. Disclaimer: This is my first Metro game. And I have heard good thing about the series from afar before playing, but I went it mostly completely blind. Some expectation are met, some not. Starting off with the negative. - The game has way too many bugs that took me out of the moments. Enemies clipping into walls, floating items, weird enemy and human AI behavior, etc - Character models are wildly inconsistent. Some NPCs are fine, while others have bizarre facial proportions, strange body shapes, weird lips, dead eyes, lifeless expressions, or don't even blink. Lip-syncing also feels noticeably worse in a lot of scenes, making conversations look awkward. - Lighting and darkness don't feel natural. Instead of convincing shadows, areas are often either pitch black regardless of nearby light sources or strangely over-bright. It hurts the immersion more than it adds to it. The meh: - Some weird keybinding feel on E Interaction button, but it could be my own fault so I leave it here in Meh. - Adequate enough gunplay. The positives: - The atmosphere is dark, oppressive, and intriguing. - Very cool storyline. - Immersive world and world building. It makes me interested in how this compares to other Metro games and the novel. The bugs, technical inconsistencies, and awkward controls are something I can't ignore. The world can only sell me so much with its story and element alone. It could just be I am a softer person, but I find the dark world of Hell of Us as stellar and make for an amazing game despite the weak gameplay, so I don't know for certain where Metro 2033 Redux failed for me. Maybe just the exploration/gameplay + the bugs just aren't enough to execute the story for me, leaving me unimpressed? While the other game has weak gameplay but it execute adequate enough that those element don't ruin the other experience for me? Either way, I give Metro 2033 Redux a 4.5 out of 10.
No se ve nada 10/10
Atmosphere is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this game. Just an incredible post apocalyptic atmosphere. I don`t know exactly how the developers pulled it off, but they captured it so precisely that despite all the disaster around you, it somehow looks absolutely beautiful. The game is perfectly balanced and never feels overloaded. The world around you manages to be both terrifying and gorgeous at the same time. The music and sound design stay with you throughout the whole game, and they do it so well that there`s really nothing to pick apart. And tying it all together is a great story that skillfully wraps around everything mentioned above and keeps pushing it forward. I`m really glad that Ukrainian game development gave the world such a wonderful game, one that absolutely deserves everyone`s attention. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (9/10)
Metro 2033 is about atmosphere before anything else, and that's where the game is nearly unmatched. 4A Games built an oppressive, filthy, and desperate post-apocalyptic world, where every tunnel of the Moscow metro seems to hide a different danger. It's a game unafraid of making you uncomfortable, whether through ammo scarcity, suffocating darkness, or the horrors lurking on the irradiated surface. It's not a traditional shooter, it's a survival experience disguised as an FPS, and that combination works in a way few games managed to replicate afterward. The system of using military-grade ammo as currency is one of the game's best design decisions: every good bullet you fire in combat is money you won't have to buy equipment later. This creates constant tension in every exchange of fire, forcing you to choose between spending quality ammo or saving with weaker, homemade rounds. The gas mask, which fogs up, cracks, and needs replacing, and the hand-cranked flashlight, which needs to be physically recharged, are details that constantly reinforce the protagonist's vulnerability. Combat against humans is tactical and rewards stealth, while confrontations against mutants on the surface are chaotic and genuinely frightening. The campaign has the perfect length for what it sets out to do: not a minute longer than necessary. It's roughly 8 to 10 hours of a linear but dense journey, with no padding and no filler missions. The game knows exactly when to introduce a new station, a new danger, or a new ally, keeping the tension consistent from start to finish. It's the kind of length that respects your time without sacrificing depth. Based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's novel, Metro 2033's plot is dark, philosophical, and never underestimates the player. Artyom navigates a Moscow divided between political factions, religious cults, and the constant threat of the Dark Ones, and the game handles these themes with a seriousness rare for the genre. The stations function as small isolated societies, each with its own culture and internal conflict, and listening to NPC conversations as you walk through them says more about this world than any cutscene could. The ending, which changes based on your actions throughout the game, is a gut punch that justifies every moral choice you made along the way.
Visual
For a game released in 2010, Metro 2033's art direction still impresses. The contrast between the claustrophobic darkness of the tunnels, lit only by your flashlight and improvised fires, and the devastated surface, bathed in a sickly gray light, creates two visually opposite worlds within the same game. The design of the stations, each with its own identity, and the mutants, grotesque and well crafted, shows an artistic care that many games with bigger budgets lack.
The sound design is essential for the game's atmosphere to work. The echo of your own footsteps in the tunnels, the creak of the gas mask, the distant whispers of creatures you can't see, all of it builds constant tension even in moments without combat. The soundtrack is used with surgical restraint, appearing only at the right moments to intensify despair or melancholy, never becoming background noise. The voice acting, especially in the Russian version with subtitles, delivers an authenticity that the English dub can't replicate.
If you love story-driven shooters with a dark, immersive atmosphere, METRO 2033 is a must-play!
