Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

AN ABSURDLY LARGE STEALTH SANDBOX WITH A PRICE TO PAY After 11 years, I finally finished Metal Gear Solid V. And even today, it's still an impressive game. It's huge, still looks surprisingly good, and offers an absolutely massive stealth sandbox with an almost ridiculous number of ways to approach missions. You can sneak through bases, use different weapons and gadgets, recruit soldiers, develop new equipment, manipulate the battlefield, or simply come up with your own completely stupid plan and somehow make it work. The freedom is probably the game's biggest strength. The problem is that this enormous sandbox came at the cost of the story. MGSV feels less like a traditional Metal Gear Solid game and more like a gigantic collection of gameplay systems wrapped around an unfinished narrative. There is a huge amount of content, but it's hard not to notice the missing pieces and cut content, especially toward the end. I also really like the unusual combination of single player and multiplayer elements. Your base development is connected to the online component, creating a system where the things you build and develop in the singleplayer experience are tied into a larger online ecosystem. It's an interesting idea, although it also contributes to the feeling that MGSV was designed as something much bigger than just a traditional single player Metal Gear. Technically, the game is still impressive thanks to the FOX Engine, but after 11 years it's also difficult to ignore how many bugs remain in the Steam version. Some missions can still behave strangely, especially objectives involving listening in on conversations. So if you're planning to go for 100%, be prepared for some frustration and occasional mission-breaking bugs. MGSV is a fascinating game because it simultaneously feels like one of the most ambitious Metal Gear games ever made and one of the most obviously incomplete. The gameplay is phenomenal, the sandbox is enormous, and there's an almost absurd amount of content, but the price is a weaker story and the feeling that we never got to see the complete vision. Pros: + Massive open world stealth sandbox + Huge amount of content + Tons of ways to approach missions + Excellent stealth mechanics + Still looks great thanks to the FOX Engine + interesting integration of online systems Cons: - Story suffers heavily compared to previous Metal Gear games - Clearly cut and unfinished content - Same Steam version bugs are still present after 11 years - The enormous scale sometimes works against the narrative

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
