Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

changed my life
I played it almost exclusively for a long time right around when it came out. Had a pretty good time. Got some nostalgia looking back at old memes I had collected and decided I wanted to experience it again, so I reset my save progress and started a new game with a patch file to help some of the more tedious aspects. Or at least, I thought. Maybe I didn't really realize it while I was playing the game at release but this game has a LOT of tedious junk and jank in it that made it impossible for me to want to continue playing after mission 11. Instances of CQC not locking on, instances of aim getting stuck on nonsense, and the generally retarded enemy AI did not do any favors. This is on top of the well-known fact that the game was and still is blatantly unfinished. Interrogated enemies have no voice acting (just grunting noises and subtitles). Missions quickly start being reused with modifiers attached to pad out the mission list. Final missions did not resolve the plot. There is also an insane amount of useless timegating for some reason. Researching anything on your platform takes in-game time for some reason. You collect personnel to upgrade platforms for... reasons... Personnel inexplicably follow a skyrim-esque leveling system. I think the worst offense is despite collecting all of these personnel and putting them to work on your PMC, the most interaction you can do with them is beating them up while you're at base. Not even during the ending boss fights can you call in some tanks or something, nope, its all Venom. I mean, as far as the core gameplay of sneaking around beating people up in an open world is, its the best in class. It's just, well, everything else kind of sucks.

Overall 9/10 As a newcomer with no nostalgic ties to the franchise, jumping straight into The Phantom Pain was a wild, incredibly rewarding ride. I judged this game purely on its own merits, and it absolutely delivered. The gameplay loop is brilliantly designed, offering unmatched tactical freedom. From managing Mother Base to utilizing hilarious yet genius Fulton extraction balloons, the mechanics feel incredibly fresh. Hideo Kojima famously envisioned this game as a realistic espionage simulator where the player writes their own story, and you can truly feel that philosophy in every mission. There is really nothing else quite like this outside of the Metal Gear series. My only real critique is the side content: after finishing the main story, or if you try to grind them out too many in a row, the side ops can feel a bit repetitive and tiring since many of them follow the exact same pattern. Despite this, it thoroughly hooked me from start to finish. Even though I rated the plot as "Great" without having played the previous titles, it’s because the game left me so intrigued that I immediately went to research the entire, massive Metal Gear lore. The story blew me away so much that I will almost certainly go back and play the other chapters in the future!
MGSV is a phenomenal game about loss, sabotage, and revenge. The graphics are pretty good, especially for a 2015 game, and the attention to detail is superb, you'll be amazed by the amount of random actions you can perform that actually affect what's around you and/or interactions from people. The base development is a huge part of the game and it's incredibly rewarding, exfilling soldiers and upgrading Mother Base, just watching it grow is so cool. And the more personnel and levels you have allow you to develop gear and weapons to help you further in missions, opening numerous ways to approach challenges later on. Finally, the story, and setting is amazing too. It'll have you excited for the next mission every step of the way, watching and playing in the world of metal gear was truly a fun time. In short, I highly recommend this game for it's progression, campaign, and looks
