It's been 11 years and no other other game has been able to match the ambience and intensity of the main ground zeroes mission for me. Even though the game is basically just a single mission, it's very well executed and the level design for the military base just makes you think of what the phantom pain could've been if it had different, complex levels instead of being an open world game. Ground zeroes is very short but still worth playing especially since you can put quite a few hours into it trying to get the achievements if you're a completionist.

Big Boss

Really good prologue to MGS V TPP. However, the game is really short and it took me only one night in real life to complete the game. There is side content, as well as tapes that uncover the story further. I’d recommend this game. Runs super well on steam deck.
