Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 15.43/day in the week to Sep 2 → 19.29/day in the week after.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

Reviews
So whether you will like this remake is really dependent on one thing. Do you think the bad controls of the original MGS3 were intentional to encourage you avoid combat, or were the bad controls just a product of being a 3rd person game before RE:4 was released. Personally I think the fact Kojima had improved controls for MGS4, Peace Walker and 5 show that the bad controls in 3 were a product of its time. Also buy this game on sale, this is Steam, wait for a sale.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good update of an already great game not like a lot of remakes where they try to change things to fit a modern narrative so it stays true to the original so other then updated mechanics and visuals is the same as the OG I suggest waiting for a sale like I did especially if you already have the MGS collection.
Si te molan los metal gear antiguos, este es mejor porque aunque sea el 3, los controles son buenisimos y la calidad grafica se nota muchisimo.
SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATER yes they kept the ladder. peak remake.
Excelente remake

"The one who survives will inherit the title of boss, and the one who inherits the title of boss, will face an existence of endless battle."
Great remake, I would say more engaging than the first one just based on the graphics on its own, the performance never really bothered me never got crashes or mass fps drops, took longer to beat due the stealthiness being so way too tedious on Hard difficulty but all in all a great remake. I would wait for a sale tho as it is a pretty penny to buy it.
First of all I like MGS V, this one however may look like a modern game but it plays (mostly) like a 20 year old one. That may be some people's idea of fun and good luck to you if it is but it's not mine. Have fairly decent PC specs so no trouble running the game or anything like that.
