Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Finally, after so many years I finally finished MG1 and MG2. I first played MGS back when i was a teenager, the game blew my mind and I have played all subsequent games endlessly, completing them multiple times. Finishing them in European Extreme and getting the Big Boss emblem in MGS4. The Metal Gear saga one of my all time favorte saga's. I am ashamed I never finished the OG games up until now, when I am much older and got kids. lol If you are fan of the series the OG MG games are a must play and they really add to the story and lore of the saga. How Kojima managed to cram so much game and systems into the 8bit MSX is beyond me but i can imagine that MG2 really felt like it was ahead of its time. There is only one gripe i have with both games and that is the endless backtracking. They really test your sanity.

Im enjoying this way more than I thought I would. I thought it would be tough to get into something so dated but this game feels like an interesting 8 bit puzzle to solve.

Was hard-locked by a bug in E1 of the Underground Tunnel area of Metal Gear 1. Bravo, Konami! Can't believe you guys went through the trouble of getting rid of the passwords but left in all of the game-breaking bugs! You and Kojima deserve each other! I think I'm going to pass on purchasing the second Master Collection. https://imgur.com/a/Y2jCfew
для людей кто проходит метал гир про хронологии я вам скажу так вы не захотите играть после мгс 5 в эту ♥♥♥♥♥ советую только тем кому нравится что им в туз упирается что то длинное толстое и твердое
i mean.. yeah its metal gear early days so
This is my first experience for anything Metal Gear: The story for MGS1 is practically nonexistent and the story for MGS2 is present, but vague. The best thing MGS2 did to improve from MGS1 is adding humor. I chuckled at a few dialogues. This, however, didn't help alleviate the game from being frustrating and boring. My biggest issue with both games is that it is incredibly easy to get lost on what to actually do. I gave up and ended up consulting guides nearing the end of MGS1 and somewhere around the middle of MGS2. Figuring out where to go and remember where to back track to was the least fun part of the game. In MGS1 and MGS2 stealth was fun until I found rooms that would just clear my detected status, so I just stopped caring. Shooting, hitting, and exploding enemies also stopped being fun. I tried to keep the weapons I use to take out common enemies varied but that didn't do much. The gameplay for both MGS1 and MGS2 are almost exactly the same. The only substantial difference in MGS2 is that they introduced proning, allowing you to hide and lose the enemies. For both games you are unable to save unless you are in an elevator. Why? I don't know, it's annoying and it sucks. I want to play the game and stop playing the game whenever I want. Having to backtrack to the elevator every time is just so exhausting. The bosses didn't really have any unique or creative approach to beating them, it felt as if they were designed to beaten by the new you toy just obtained. Though I discourage this, if you are going to buy the two games, my advice is to not take anything in the game seriously. This isn't a jab at the game, the game overall is just not serious. In the most non-derogative way text can convey, this game is a joke.
Great set of games. I never played them growing up. I feel like they were fairly ahead of their time honestly. Incredible mechanics especially in the second one. The first one feels particularly annoying to play without a guide especially if you're part of the modern gaming audience. I'm not going to spend my time knocking on every wall to find places to bomb. That being said, with a guide these are real fun.
two classics in one box. I have fond memories of playing the NES version of Metal Gear and although the MSX version is entirely different, it still scratches the itch.
