About
6th October 2025
MELTY BLOOD ARCHIVES has been updated to address the recently identified Unity vulnerability. Please note that MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA was not developed using Unity. Therefore, it is not affected by this vulnerability and does not require an update.
Based on Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, this is new 2D fighting game, featuring new scenarios and characters.
In addition to the systems inherited from the MELTY BLOOD series, it has new systems such as Moon Skill, that unleashes powerful techniques with simple inputs. We have pursued a battle system that allows you to enjoy intense battles with simple controls, that can be enjoyed not only by experienced players, but also by beginners who will touch MELTY BLOOD for the first time.
MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA utilizes Rollback Netcode for stable online battles against other players.
Explore an all-new MELTY BLOOD world from scenario writer Kinoko Nasu.
Unique story events for each character give each playthrough its own feel, adding to the overall experience. The dialogue is fully voiced and changes depending on the combination of characters during battle, giving more insight into their relationship.
In addition, the visuals have been renewed for the HD environment. And each character's special move has beautiful animation produced by A-1 Pictures.
Customize your title, profile icon, and character outfits for battle. They can even be used in online matches!
Collect visuals, opening cinematics, music tracks, voices, pixel art, and more in the gallery. You’ll even be able to look at guest illustrations created by artists connected to TYPE-MOON titles.
In addition to tutorials where you can learn the basics of the game, we also have missions for each character for those who want to further master the game!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

buranyaaa!!!
Best fighting game oat, simple mechanics however, the online match is so empty. sadly
Having recently been exiled from the "Minds" Hermetic Lodge, I have more time to chronicle my investigations into the Melting Blood phenomenon and the supernatural tournament that surrounds it. I pray this information will help you survive the unforgiving eternal night of the Liminal abyss! ~ Ben O'Sheely It has always been the nature of fighting games to string us along. From their inception we had our turbo editions, hyper editions, and ultimate editions. More characters and systems tacked on to what is essentially the same core game. The caveat is the game studios of the 90's and early 2,000s would at least be gracious enough to give us a discount or a reasonable retail price. I remember picking up Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper just a couple months after its' release when it already sold for $19.99 at Electronic Boutique and similar outlets. I also snatched up the playstation 1 version of DarkStalkers 3: Vampire Savior for even cheaper than that! What can I say? You would have had to been there to understand. So, Melty Blood Lumina is get this, a "complete' fighting game that has a "complete" roster. When it first debuted it gave away additional characters for absolutely free. This is why I think the Fate/Melty fanbase is decades old. A lot of generosity and sincerity from the creators that yielded a very positive lasting impression. Ground game is fast and aggressive like King Of Fighters. Air game is a cross up between Guilty Gear and Marvel Versus Capcom. If you know anything about fighters the way I described things will immediately click. (Rush downs, air dashes, counters, more upward mobility than Basketball at zero gravity, cancels used to chain into additional combos, etc.) It's a winning formula and it works. This is what master alchemists would refer to as the "golden standard" for fighting game mechanics! Oh, and we finally get points and achievements that unlock art, character sprites, soundtracks, and more! Something I roasted the Steam version of Actress Again for. (Though it is still a darn fine fighter that comes as highly recommended!) Survival, time attack, and score attack are nothing special but appreciated. Story mode has great artwork and the usual serious and comedic beats you would expect. It won't change your life but the game is still a richer more rewarding experience for it. (And I do approve of main characters having branching routes. Just that "little bit extra" that lets you know these characters are as loved by their creators as they are by their fans!) Downsides? Supposedly some Melty Blood purists (And I do not necessarily mean that in a derogatory way) took issue with Fate characters making cameos. Being I also like Fate it is of no concern of mine and even was encouragement for me to finally pick Lumina up. If you feel differently about that I understand completely and have no bone to pick with you. To each their own! I will admit I was saddened some of the better characters from Actress Again do not reappear in Lumina so if I want to play as them I'll have to lily hop between each of Melty Blood's iterations. It is what it is. At $49.99 Melty Blood Lumina is reasonably priced. At $14.99 it is being given away at the price of peanuts! This one comes at my highest recommendation. Melty Blood isn't gonna string you along, isn't gonna do you wrong! Ain't gonna break your heart or dessert you! ~ Sings terribly! Pros + You buy it once and you have the whole game! + Plenty of modes and a visual novel inspired story with branching paths. + Combat mechanics are given the Hermetic alchemist seal of greatness! + Sprites, artwork, and music set the stage marvelously! + Runs and handles like a classic sportscar with optimization that won't turn your pc into a melting lump of plastic and cheap aluminum! + Moon phase related mechanics are back to give you more strategic options but their implication feels more streamlined. (Aka, you trigger the moon gauge in game instead of selecting a moon style from the start ala Actress Again Current Code) Cons - Some fan favorites from Actress Again / Current Code got left behind Neutral +/- The Fate cameos are going to be a mixed bag. You are either going to squeal in delight or shout "Boo!" from the highest rooftops whilst throwing stale lettuce! +/- A mixed reception around the shield mechanic. Don't know if it will be built upon or completely axed in future iterations. It has gotten some love and has gotten some hate. I was alright using it but simultaneously felt as if it didn't add much overall. I preferred every character having 3 moon shifts that altered their fighting styles in interesting ways. The new "moon gauge system" is more like a temporary power up than a complete game changer. Yet certain fans may prefer these newer additions. If you want their input you can ask around in the community! Disclaimer I'm one of the weird cats out there that often plays fighters for the characters, solo player content, vibes, and the storylines. I'm not big into the competitive EVO scene and even perceive the modernization of brawlers to be a detriment to the genre. Remember when a sexy Chun Li mod tore the fighting game community asunder? How about the blatant Skull Girls censorship or DOA 6's marketing campaign treating its' own fan service like a dirty secret held hostage in a backroom dungeon? Yeah, I think "normies" "tourists" and "wokies" are kryptonite when it comes to creative freedom. The genre was better off when tournaments were not televised sporting events, obscure titles had the sexiest nastiest femme fatales around, and planned gatherings were just laid back get togethers where everyone enjoyed the games for what they were. You can hate my opinion but deep down you know it is true! The above is something to consider when reading my fighting game reviews. I always played these titles as lighthearted fun. I never took "winning" or "becoming a master" super seriously. I'm not a fighting game circuit celebrity known for perfect parrying some random jack hole in the late 90's or early 2,000s that won me a real dragon ball. I ain't Maximillian or Daigo! (I'm also not the guy who thinks a fighting game is "dead" and "useless" just because it is obscure and no longer has rollback netcode!)
me encanta, pero falta Ryougi Shiki :(
