Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 9.17/day in the week to Jul 17 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just recently bought Armored Core 6. Got curious about any other Mecha games, so I searched and this pops up first on summer sale. Bought it and played three missions..... HOW THE HELL DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS UNTIL NOW? It's freaking AWESOME!!! Customizable mecha with different stats, weapons and fighting styles so far..... A total recommendation to play!

I really wanted to like this game, it has pretty good controls and decent voice acting, it's got a lot of really cool things going for it. BUT THE AI IS BRAINDEAD It pulls me out of the action so fast. The enemy I can excuse, because if you couldn't tell from the description, this is one of those mecha games where you fight Kaijus other than giant mechs like yourself, which is a trope I don't really like that much but was going to look over. But... It's a bit lame. And furthermore, your ally AI? Practically nonexistant. In the missions, they will not move a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ muscle. They stand idle and sometimes shoot. I'm sorry, I can't excuse that. Beyond that though, mission structure is virtually identical mission to mission, with very few differences in set dressing too. I'm sorry man, I hope the next game is good, I heard great things about this one but I can't recommend it to anyone really.
very good game
Love this! If you are on the fence about getting this, don't be. It is amazing. I've played AA and AAA games that don't even come close to a fraction of this.
honestly worth the play not a must have but if you got some extra cash its a fun game this is the kind of game id use for stress relief the story is relatively interesting and the dlcs are appropriately priced i will be playing the second game when in comes out
So, you've been a fan of "Armored Core," and maybe you liked "Earth Defense Force?" Well, here you go. "Mecha Knights" is a little rough around the edges, which is not surprising for a passion project involving a whole, one person. When I say that, though, I really do only mean the edges. You might start out thinking that the game is too simplistic, but there's a steady ramp of encounter progression that acts as a good hook. Plus, there are some nifty setpieces. It's just that it doesn't all hit you at once. I liked the mech customization and weapon balance overall. I ended up with an energy-focused build by the end, buoyed by how you can easily replay missions to test loadouts and accumulate resources. (Love that. Have always loved that. Have said before how I love that.) I liked the option to run raids for better rewards, too. The funniest thing that happened was me overpowering the game at the end. The final mission (which I didn't realize was final until no other missions appeared) ended with me clearing the field - and then us "getting saved" by the timely arrival of another combat unit. Which had nothing to do. Because I had cleared the field. "Mecha Knights" is a fun, genre-blending effort, and I think there are plenty of folks out there who might get a kick out of it. It's like a lot of the sci-fi that grew up with: Entirely solid fundamentals, with rubber monsters and wobbly sets.
Excellent mech game. I enjoyed its dark ambience.
Armored Core lite but mowing down giant zombies and without any flying, just zooming. "Hell in Baku"/10 would play again.
A hidden gem especially for a solo project Mecha Knights: Nightmare wears its inspiration on its sleeve (and even says it on the store page). It's a hybrid of Earth Defense Force and Armored Core with mecha anime and some horror elements thrown in the mix. Like EDF it's a horde shooter where you're a one man army using obnoxious firepower to lay waste to hundreds of enemies. Like EDF you earn more weapons from random drops incentivizing weapon farming (very easy to do if you do the raid missions). The missions are simple with just the bare minimum of variety in their layout and objectives. EDF had better mission variation where it forced you to change your loadout from time to time while here you can get away with a single setup. Also there's little to no physics in this game so if you liked launching the aliens from EDF with your rocket launcher that won't be happening here. Unlike EDF it's not a lengthy experience. With the DLC including all the raid missions it took me around 15 hours (EDF 6 is 40 hours in a single playthrough). In those 15 hours I almost got all the weapons and gear making this a way less replayable experience. Not a bad thing just something to keep in mind. It makes Mecha Knights feel more like a great "in between" game for EDF fans. While it's nowhere near as enjoyable as the mainline EDF titles (I especially prefer EDF's kaiju B-movie campy tone to the apocalyptic horror tone here) I do prefer this over some of the EDF spin-offs which is high praise especially for a solo dev project. It's an easy recommendation for EDF fans (like me) Like Armored Core you pilot a mech that you can go in depth to customize to optimize it to your liking. You have to factor in the mass, load, energy input and energy recharge just to name a few. Where it falls way short of Armored Core is there isn't much variation in the mechs as far as how they play. There's no heavy tank mechs or airborne mechs here (the upcoming sequel seems to already address this). The missions never force you to really adapt your mech's loadout either compared to Armored Core (At least compared to Armored Core 6). The mech controls are very straight forward (surprisingly no controller support) and you'll be boosting and zipping around the levels in no time. Another thing Armored Core fans need to keep in mind is this is a monster horde shooter with no mech on mech action. As someone who loves Armored Core 6 (and wishes there was more AC games easily available) Mecha Knights definitely scratches a little bit of that AC itch but doesn't fully satisfy it. It's a cautious recommendation for AC fans. However I'll say it again it's a damn impressive solo project. While Mecha Knights never surpasses its inspirations and has it moments that will remind you it's an indie solo project I still had fun throughout. Once you get your optimal mech loadout it does get a little stale (especially the raid missions) but it doesn't outstay its welcome. It has a solid foundation that I hope the sequel capitalizes on. An easy recommend when it's on sale or if you're an EDF fan or starving of anything remotely like Armored Core. P.S. The Operation Ascalon Expansion is very much worth it since it expands the arsenal and all I'll say the EDF fanboy that I am was happy with how devasting some of the new weapons were.
