Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.14/day in the week to Jul 22 → 49.38/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

its fun
Great and Awful at the same time. Core mechanics and gameplay are very well done, with all the polish you would expect from a AAA dev. It was initially very fun, but quickly became unpleasant to play. The game has no tutorial, but it does need one. Conditions of extraction can be complex and often without any explicit instructions. This can become a liability for your team and people will have little pateience with you. Marathon suffers massively from a core design imbalance. Gun and armor rewards powerfully affect your likelihood of winning. The game rewards winning with more guns and armor, and punishes losing by taking them away. This doesn't sound unfair (afterall, you signed up for a hardcore extraction shooter) until you realize that the game reinforces a wealth gap between better and worse players. This is not ARC, it is closer to apex legends with PVE elements; this makes the wealth gap extremely punishing for casual players. Casual players became fodder for hardcore players as the season progressed, and Marathon lost most of its playerbase to demoralization. The skill floor continued to creep upwards until all that was left were hardcore players. The community has become toxic with little patience for anything but the most skilled or kitted players. The toxicity of the community is reinforced by the high stakes of the game and the imbalance of lost materials between casual and hardcore players. i.e. Casual players lose nothing when they fail to extract, while hardcore players lose some of their best items. Over time, casual players became a liability to a team of better players, and their presence is often resented. The continuuing problem is that the balance mechanics remain regardless of the skill level of the playerbase; as casual players leave someone still has to lose, most players still get relegated to being fodder, and players continue to leave due to demoralization. Even if you're very good, your presence is eventually resented as you begin to lose more frequently and show up with worse gear as the skill floor continues to rise. This could probably be fixed by a little bit of rubberbanding and reducing the rarity of high level items, but the devs seem to have gone in the opposite direction.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

*Brisk Eminem commercial* DAMN! That is pretty good!!
Game is a lot of fun. A shame that there isnt a bigger audience for it.
Marathon is awesome. Progression is super rewarding, both PVP and PVE combat are the perfect amount of satisfying and tense, and I personally love the art style. Everything about it just feels CLEAN. High highs and low lows, but not lows so crushing that you want to quit the game. If this game picks up a larger audience, the future potential for this game is unreal. If this game dies because it got bombed with hate, I will be very sad.
Dont believe the nonsense. This game is polished, the devs are involved, and the end game is challenging. Gunplay is crisp. Enemies are engaging and smart. Some minor bugs after updates and the player base is sort of low but im having the time of my life.
Marathon speaks to a niche crowd of gamers. You're going to make the "perfect" loadout and then get into fight and die, a lot, then the next round you out play somebody and get better gear than what you dropped the last round. Once you feel comfortable losing your gear, you're liberated from what I think is the largest hurdle for most players. If you're not willing to risk it, you don't deserve the biscuits.
Nah
The UI is clunky and the game is extremely pretentious about navigation, progression, and looting. Nothing is cohesive or intuitive. I get a headache just trying to make sense of this game.
