Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.14/day in the week to Jul 22 → 49.38/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

When you get to engage with the maps and the world at your own pace, Marathon is incredible. But Marathon is also frustrating in how its systems, as currently designed and implemented, don't really survive the hardcore audiences that the extraction and PVP shooter genres normally attract. The incentive structures and design choices that essentially force you to kill every runner you come across on sight are overwhelming. This runs directly counter to the emergent and player driven gameplay at the heart of extraction games. The game was marketed and branded as an extraction shooter. You can see why someone would be frustrated or not have fun with Marathon when most raids play out like Apex rather than Tarkov. Marathon is like a movie that had tons of production issues, including last minute rewrites. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but the most important thing is the stitching on whatever comes out at the end of production can't be visible. Unfortunately, you can see and feel the friction of the arena BR elements that were stitched on top of the extraction base. A permanent PVE mode in the style of Tarkov PVE add-on seems like a no-brainer, including being playable top to bottom solo. To conclude: I'm frustrated. I want to explore Tau Ceti and dig through crates. I want to smack some UESC around and maybe see an alien or two. I'm a sicko. I want to love Marathon. The technical pieces and art direction that make up the foundation of a great game are there. But the harsh reality is that pushing towards a greater BR arena style in the extraction shooter mix was an interesting but flawed idea to get Marathon out of production hell and across the finish line; it just doesn't work overall. 6/10, a tentative hold recommendation. Will revisit my review when whatever the PVE thing that's being cooked up for S3 is out.
Game sucks. Basically a neon crayon box exploded and you get this heep of garbage. They also steal work from artists. Game is trash and so is Bungie. Bungie died with Halo Reach.
Think twice before buying this if you don’t have a squad. Great aesthetics and cool concept, but it's just not fun. If you're playing solo, invest your time in another game. You absolutely need a squad to enjoy this. After 130 hours, I'm throwing in the towel. Games are supposed to be fun. Bungie refuses to listen, and they never will. Increase the TTK so we can actually see those 'different ways to tackle a challenge' What’s the point of having a build if you just get instantly deleted by some sweat with 1,000 hours, while you barely have 2 hour to play at night?
I enjoyed the art and the sound effects. I did not enjoy the massive amount of aiming the game does for controller players, or the queue breaking issues involving the menus. There are a large amount of desync and packet loss issues that occur only in this game at crucial moments. The combination of aiming for other players and not being able to have knife hits register when your gear is at stake is a terrible combination for a game where you lose gear upon death. The game is a bad PVP battle royale with extra steps, which got tiring after a while.
Such a boring extraction shooter
