Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 15 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think the game has a lot of potential if you play it for a while. But before you get to that point, I’m just overwhelmed by all the options. The game is already too exhausting for me right from the start. I wish it focused on the essentials so I wouldn’t have to worry about how to design a room. I want to design a game, not be an interior designer! The menu navigation is counterintuitive or confusing, which only adds to my frustration. A longer tutorial would have been helpful, too.

A Deep and Addictive Tycoon Experience What a fantastic game. Honestly, there’s not much else to say beyond that. Mad Game Tycoon 2 truly impressed me and became the main reason why I got into retro-style management games of this kind. This is not just another tycoon where you only manage money and wait for numbers to go up. Here, you must carefully monitor your company’s reputation, staff skills, market trends, and creative decisions. A massive investment in a single game does not guarantee success—you need to experiment, combine different elements, and adapt constantly. That depth is what makes the gameplay so rich and engaging. ✅ Pros • Gameplay Mechanics. Completely different from most management games. The amount of options and systems is genuinely impressive. I clearly remember struggling to improve my results, only to realize that my staff simply wasn’t skilled enough. Every aspect matters: employees, technology, timing, and decisions. Success comes from understanding and using *all* the tools the game offers, which encourages experimentation and strategic thinking. • Concept. While the core idea of managing a company isn’t revolutionary, the depth of product development absolutely is. The sheer number of variables involved in creating a game makes it impossible to deny that Mad Game Tycoon 2 has a very strong and well-executed concept. • Performance. This game runs on almost anything. Seriously, if your PC or laptop turns on, it can probably run this game without issues. Performance requirements are extremely low and never get in the way of enjoying the experience. ❌ Cons • Graphics & Visual Age. If you’re new to the game, it’s easy to notice that it has been around for a few years. The graphics feel dated, even if they were likely innovative at launch. That said, once you’re immersed, visuals stop being a real issue and don’t prevent enjoyment. • User Interface & Learning Curve. Because the management systems are so extensive, the interface can feel overwhelming. The tutorial covers some basics, but it’s not enough. You’ll need extra time (and patience) to fully understand how everything connects. This can be intimidating for newcomers. • Progression & Scalability. This is where the game stumbles the most. As you progress, improving staff, equipment, and facilities is expected—but physical space becomes a limiting factor. Management slowly shifts toward fighting space constraints rather than strategic growth. Additionally, once you reach late-game complexity, development starts to feel stagnant. You can end up with hundreds of NPCs working on a single product, taking an extremely long time to break records. It feels like the game lacks long-term productivity evolution—teams don’t truly become more efficient, just bigger. More depth in productivity scaling over time (not just visual or structural expansion) would have made a huge difference. ⭐ Final Verdict My final score reflects one thing clearly: I want a sequel!! Despite its age and outdated graphics, Mad Game Tycoon 2 is incredibly flexible, deep, and rewarding. It’s a brilliant management game that respects the player’s intelligence and challenges them constantly.

Lo recomiendo de los tycoon de videojuegos mas completos ///////////////////////////////// I can be worse than EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard, and Activision combined. I can release the same game, I can exploit my employees, I can have the most unhealthy offices, I can never update a game, and the press will still say it's a good game. But I still managed to run my own game company once and won Game of the Year five times. I recommend it as one of the most complete video game tycoons.
If you ever played Game Dev Tycoon then you have stumbled onto a game that is just a direct upgrade. It's fantastic with a lot going on. There is multiplayer, you can compete with your friends(if you have them) with who can be the best game company or who can bankrupt themselves the quickest by focusing on Vocabulary Action games only. RIP When Vowels Attack; As a game franchise you never made money but you were funny. Mad Game Dev Tycoon is worth the asking price of 25$ so if it's on sale then it's a steal. I hope they do a 3rd game.
It's okay. Just kind of boring after a while. All of the building elements are essentially superfluous and sort of exist to punish the player for not properly planning everything out extensively beforehand since destroying rooms and building them bigger or elsewhere isn't really a thing. I'd get it if it's on sale for like 5 or 10 bucks but otherwise not really.
