For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is an action rogue-lite with RPG elements. You explore randomly generated levels based in H.P. Lovecraft stories, fighting cultists and all kinds of monsters from the Mythos, improving your weapons and gear, solving puzzles and challenges, and looking for clues and knowledge to defeat the Great Old Ones and the Outer Gods.
Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s stories. You will experience first-hand the cosmic horror created by the genius of Providence. Every character will go through an investigation that will take them through different locations, from the creepy old Victorian mansion to the abandoned hospital where forbidden experiments take place or the jungle where lost tribes celebrate forgotten rituals, just to name a few. Levels are randomly generated: it will be a different experience every time you play. Also, they vary depending on the character you’re playing with. Look for items and clues to unlock secrets and new stories!
You can play as 5 different characters, each with a different playstyle and storyline. A private detective, a witch, a thief, a professor, and even a ghoul—each with different stats, weapons, and combat moves, creating five entirely different gameplay experiences. The Detective offers a balanced playstyle, with average Health and Stamina. The Professor is a specialist in ranged combat, with less Health and a special shield granted by his weapon, the Tillinghast. The Witch does a lot of damage, has teleport abilities and elemental shields of fire and ice, but also a very low Health. The Thief is a specialist in melée combat that takes advantage of its stealth to maximize her damage. The ghoul does a lot of melée damage, has a high Health and regenerates itself, but can’t use medkits at all.
The truth of the dark horrors that inhabit the universe is unbearable for any human mind. In the end, you can’t win against the Old Ones. Madness or death await you. But maybe you can delay the inevitable… If you face the Great Old Ones without any knowledge about them, you will go mad just by looking at their hideous features. But spread across every level you will find special items with information about the Great Old Ones. The more you know about them, the stronger your mind shall become – but knowledge is not easy to find, and if you are not thorough in your investigation you might get to the end of a storyline without finding everything that is to know. You will have to play with all the characters if you want to find all the information about every Great Old One!
Insanity crawls behind every corner for those who face the Mythos. In your investigations, you will face different situations where you have to choose what to do – make the wrong decision and you will start losing your mind. In order to face the Great Old Ones, you need knowledge, and to find it you have to explore – but the more you explore the more events that shake your sanity you will find… Those who go mad under the influence of the Mythos take their own life to escape the eternal terror they are now looking at. Not all hope is lost, though – there are some ways to recover your sanity…

Reviews
The stories told here certainly aren't Lovecraftian, and the levels themselves roll out like monotonous undulations. Inventory management and loot don't feel very intuitive, and combat is stiff and underwhelming.

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Jugabilidad8Acción isométrica ágil: entrar, lootear, sobrevivir (a veces).

Lovecraft’s Untold Stories, developed by Blini Games and published by Fulqrum Publishing, is a grim, atmospheric roguelite that attempts to merge the cosmic dread of H.P. Lovecraft’s fiction with fast-paced, top-down action and survival mechanics. It is an ambitious concept—a fusion of bullet-hell combat, randomized exploration, and sanity management—wrapped in a world filled with cultists, mutants, and the unspeakable horrors of the mythos. While many games have drawn from Lovecraft’s universe, few have approached it through the lens of roguelike structure, and Lovecraft’s Untold Stories stands out for how it translates the author’s existential terror into a system of constant risk and incremental discovery. Every run into its nightmarish world feels like a descent into madness, and every success is bought with both patience and paranoia. The game begins with a choice of investigators, each representing a different archetype within Lovecraftian fiction—the Private Detective, the Professor, the Witch, the Thief, and others unlocked as the game progresses. Each character brings distinct abilities and playstyles, which meaningfully alter how encounters unfold. The Detective’s revolver favors direct combat, the Witch wields arcane powers, and the Professor relies on tools and gadgets, giving the player a variety of approaches to the same horrors. The world you explore is procedurally generated, composed of dimly lit mansions, asylums, laboratories, and ancient temples, all crawling with monstrosities that grow stranger the deeper you go. Combat is handled from a top-down perspective, with the player weaving between bullets, managing resources, and uncovering clues scattered throughout the environments. It’s a blend of arcade-style intensity and slow-burn tension that captures both the physical and psychological struggle against madness. A defining feature of Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is its commitment to the idea of sanity as a tangible game mechanic. Every action you take—whether reading forbidden texts, witnessing grotesque rituals, or encountering entities beyond comprehension—can erode your mental stability. This sanity system is more than a gimmick; it forces players to think twice before exploring every corner or interacting with every object. Knowledge, as in Lovecraft’s writing, is both power and poison. Losing your mind can lead to distorted visuals, erratic behavior, or sudden death, adding an extra layer of tension to every expedition. It also ties neatly into the roguelike formula, where each failure feels like the inevitable collapse of someone who strayed too close to the truth. Despite its strong concept and eerie presentation, the game’s execution sometimes falters under its own ambition. The procedural generation provides replayability but at the cost of environmental cohesion. Many areas, while atmospheric, begin to feel repetitive after several runs, and the random placement of loot and enemies can occasionally undermine the pacing. Combat, though satisfying at first, can fall into a predictable rhythm once you’ve mastered enemy attack patterns. There are moments when the game’s roguelite structure clashes with its horror elements—dying repeatedly to the same cultists and restarting from scratch can diminish the sense of dread that the setting works so hard to build. The game is most effective when it allows the player a brief sense of control before tearing it away, but those moments are occasionally lost amidst the repetition of grinding for better equipment. Graphically, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories employs a dark, pixel-art aesthetic that fits the tone remarkably well. The environments are richly detailed despite their simplicity, and the creature designs are grotesque without ever being cartoonish. The lighting and color palette emphasize decay and unease, giving each area the feel of a forgotten, cursed space. The soundtrack complements this perfectly—ambient drones, distorted whispers, and sudden crescendos of sound keep the player in a state of constant vigilance. Even when little is happening on screen, the audio and visual design combine to create an oppressive mood that lingers long after a run ends. It’s not a game that aims to frighten through jump scares or gore; instead, it builds tension through atmosphere and the creeping sense that the universe itself is indifferent to your struggle. As a roguelite, the game succeeds in providing a steady sense of progression. Unlocking new characters, weapons, and lore entries gives purpose to each failed run, and the discovery of rare artifacts or secret events offers brief flashes of triumph in an otherwise punishing world. However, its storytelling is fragmented and minimalistic. While bits of Lovecraftian lore are scattered throughout notes, relics, and dialogues, there isn’t a cohesive narrative to follow—more a collection of grim vignettes than a fully told story. This structure works in capturing the spirit of Lovecraft’s fiction, where knowledge is fractured and meaning is elusive, but it may disappoint players expecting a more linear or cinematic experience. What keeps Lovecraft’s Untold Stories engaging despite its flaws is its respect for the source material and its ability to translate the themes of cosmic horror into gameplay systems. The constant tension between exploration and self-preservation, knowledge and sanity, creates a rhythm that feels authentically Lovecraftian. You are not a hero in this world—you are an investigator clawing for survival in a universe where comprehension is a curse. Every victory feels small, temporary, and fleeting, yet it compels you to press on, hoping that one more expedition might reveal something new before madness takes hold. In the end, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is both a love letter to and a meditation on the futility that defines Lovecraft’s universe. It captures the bleak fascination of his stories not through elaborate cutscenes or exposition but through the player’s lived experience of struggle and loss. It is rough around the edges, repetitive at times, and uneven in pacing, yet it manages to evoke a genuine sense of curiosity and dread. For fans of Lovecraft’s mythos and roguelite enthusiasts seeking something atmospheric and intellectually engaging, it offers a dark, demanding journey into madness. It may not tell every story it promises, but the ones it leaves untold echo the loudest in the imagination. Rating: 7/10
I really enjoy mythos games, and this one did not disappoint.
