The easiest way to install is by using the totally free app Raipal which lets you easily install UUVR Mono Modern. Then you just need to do a few edits to the cofig file that is detailed in my video and on the discord for the flatscreen to VR mod community. There are some issues with the UI. With my edits, you can see the UI, but it can be too small at times to read. As long as you know what you're doing though, it isn't an issue to the gameplay at all. You can still see the dialogue clearly most of the time as well (as long as you look in the right direction). I didn't notice any major issues performance wise on my RTX 5090. I did notice some judder on my video recording, but that was just the video recording software and the odd way I had to record the Steam VR mirrored view. I didn't notice the judder while playing the game. Lastly, it should be noted that motion controllers are not supported. It is recommended to play with a gamepad. An adorable exploration game where you play as a kitty trying to find its way back home. You get to explore a small part of a Japanese town and find “shinies,” hats, fish, digging spots, and complete quests. However, I do wish that for the price tag there were more content to explore - both in terms of a bigger map and more things to find or quests to complete. I would highly recommend waiting for a good discount or getting it in a bundle. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-4).

I love this kitty game so much! It blends platforming, exploration, collecting, adventure, and plenty of silly cat chaos into a charming and surprisingly addictive experience. You play as a little kitten who accidentally falls from a high place and ends up far from home. With the help of a crow and other animal friends, you explore the city, collect fish and shiny objects, help different characters, discover new abilities, and eventually try to make your way back home. The kitten is adorable and makes the whole adventure even more fun! ฅ^>⩊<^ฅ One of the things I enjoyed most is how naturally the game introduces its world. Rather than giving you the entire city and a huge list of objectives right away, it gradually unlocks new areas and mechanics as you play. Early on, you need to collect 25 shiny objects for the crow, which eventually opens up access to the larger city. Along the way, different animals introduce features such as fast travel and photo mode. This gradual progression works really well because there is always something new to discover without making the game feel overwhelming. Once the city opens up, there is a surprising amount to explore. You can wander through the streets, climb rooftops, search for hidden areas, collect shiny objects, find fish and hats, meet different animals, and complete quests. The vertical exploration is particularly fun. As your stamina improves, you can climb vines and reach higher parts of the city, where you will often find collectibles and little secrets. Collecting and equipping all the different hats is also incredibly cute and gives you another fun goal to work toward. The game is at its best when it simply lets you be a cat. You can knock things over, make a mess in shops, chase people, interact with objects, catch birds, take photos, and generally cause harmless chaos. There is even an activity log with small challenges, such as catching birds, taking photos, and making people fall over. These activities are simple, but they give you plenty of little goals to work toward. You never have to complete everything, but checking off these challenges as you explore makes the game surprisingly satisfying and gives you another reason to keep playing. The animal NPCs and their quests also give the game some structure. You can help characters unlock fast-travel locations, play hide-and-seek, and complete a variety of small tasks. The quests are rarely complicated, but that simplicity fits the cozy atmosphere perfectly. The animal characters themselves are full of personality, and their conversations are often funny, silly, and surprisingly clever, with plenty of little jokes and references. The only downside is that the physics can occasionally be a little wonky. The kitten can sometimes get stuck, clip through objects, fall unexpectedly, or even end up falling out of the map. Most importantly, the game perfectly captures what makes cats so entertaining. One moment you are seriously working on an important quest, and the next you are knocking something over or causing trouble for absolutely no reason. That freedom to simply explore, play around, and behave like a mischievous cat is what makes the game so charming. If you love cats and cozy exploration, this is an easy game to recommend!

I loved this game that has a very cosy vibe to it! I think the neighbourhood is well drawn, very well thought and inspiring! I have transported into real life some of the arrangements and decoration ideas that I've seen in Little Kitty, Big City. The missions are kinda short but cute. I wish the developers could create more missions, perhaps, for once you finish the game. From time to time I revisit this gem to just walk around and interact with the objects (knock them over and play with the wind chimes)! I purchased this game because of my absolute love for cats and all things feline but especially so because my son is an exact, one for one, copy of the main cat in this game. I haven't play much of it and sadly don't think I'll be able to return to this game because not long after purchasing my little boy did pass away and I named the protagonist after him. It's hard to look at the game sometimes because of the striking resemblance. For those who are unaware of their cat breeds, black cats, also known as bombays, specifically have yellow-orange colored eyes and black cat seen without those color are considered 'rare'. They were bred for the specific purpose of being a black panther but as a house cat and so thats why this game really speaks to me and my late cat because he also had green eyes. I even have a picture of him sitting on my desk right next to the kitty in the game on the home screen and its a photo I'll cherish forever. It's been over a year and I miss him dearly and I'm grateful for this company making such an adorable game with a cute story. I hope that I can return to this game and achievement hunt for it but I sadly don't think that's in the cards for me yet since it's still very fresh. Regardless, it's an amazing game and I can't praise it enough and I hope it gives bombay kitties all over the extra love they deserve since they're so overlooked.

The only thing I regret about this game is leaving it unplayed for months. I'm not typically a "cat person" so I left it for later. Let's just say it was a mistake. It's a game that's primarily about exploration, about finding little nooks and crannies that allow you to reach another area, finding its secrets, discovering things for characters you meet along the way or just for achievements (a lot of these are about collecting, be warned). There are a lot of games like these but the charm of the characters, the genuine fun of the laid back "plaforming" and the huge map make it a joy to manage to find some secret or reach new heights to peruse your city. The game is not very directive and lets you explore and pick and choose what you want to do. The ultimate goal is to be able to go back home, which is quite a cool climb. For this you will need to fulfill a few missions for NPC that will help you acquire the skills you need to make it home. You don't even have to do more than that if you are not into collecting or are tired of exploring but the game makes exploring very rewarding so you'll likely want to keep going.
