About
Liminal Shroud is a first-person psychological horror experience driven by atmosphere, not monsters or combat. Set within surreal environments that evoke a twisted sense of nostalgia, your focus is on navigating shifting spaces and concealed routes while piecing together fragments of a mystery woven into the Shroud itself.
By interacting with the spaces and objects around you, you'll uncover and the truth behind the Shroud… hopefully before you become a part of it.
Liminal Shroud has been praised by players for:
Original Environments: Every space is original, handcrafted and deeply atmospheric.
Rewarding Exploration: Discover fragments of a story hidden in the architecture and audio design.
Unsettling Soundscapes: A standout sound design praised by streamers for its intensity and originality.
Analog Horror Aesthetic: A visual style that evokes the 1970s and 80s, amplifying the nostalgic unease.
Flexible Gameplay: There are no timers, enemies, or precision tasks. All the of the puzzles are visual, there is no walls of text, just the minimal UI.
Engage with the world you explore and unlock its secrets. Discover which laws of reality can be broken, but beware... This place doesn't want you to escape!
There are no monsters that chase you, but an inescapable dark presence watches your every move. The game has minimal UI, realistic environments and dark soundscapes to lose yourself in. Passages take many shapes and it's up to you to escape from this twisted reality.

It's an okay game. The "spooky" ambiance wears thin rather quickly, the same sound effect played a dozen times starts to get old. Speaking of sound this is,
The Loudest Game Ever
By the time I was done with my playthrough, I had the volume turned down to 5%. There is an irresponsible level of volume in several parts of the game. This NEEDS to be addressed. Otherwise, this is a middling walking sim with too much going on to ever truly soak in the environments. It's like the Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion of liminal space games and that is either awesome or terrible for you.

RECOMENDADO!
Really fun slightly creepy backrooms game. No actual threats that im aware of just little peek scares and creepy atmosphere. Highly recommend
This game is insane good, BUY IT
(TL;DR: It's not bad but it needs a lot of work and falls short in some areas.) It's with a heavy heart I post a negative review here because the game isn't bad. It's also not exactly amazing. The aspect of a liminal space horror game with no actual enemies is refreshing but the levels often fell short and sometimes even felt the same. Rather than a liminal space it felt more like so many different flavours of the backrooms. However the biggest crime is how badly optimised the game is... I got about one hour in and the game started to drop frames and stutter a lot. The scares of a thing appearing are kind of nullified when the game turns into a PowerPoint presentation. And worse is it entirely breaks the immersion of a game with poor performance. I don't feel like I am exploring a liminal space. I feel like I'm playing a poorly optimised game. If it's ever fixed, I could entirely recommend the game for what it is. It -is- a good game that just fell short in some places.
A wonderfully crafted romp through the liminal plane. Definitely one of the best backrooms games i've played so far.
Fun game, prolly missed some stuff but all in all good
