About
Liminal Shroud is a first-person psychological horror experience driven by atmosphere, not monsters or combat. Set within surreal environments that evoke a twisted sense of nostalgia, your focus is on navigating shifting spaces and concealed routes while piecing together fragments of a mystery woven into the Shroud itself.
By interacting with the spaces and objects around you, you'll uncover and the truth behind the Shroud… hopefully before you become a part of it.
Liminal Shroud has been praised by players for:
Original Environments: Every space is original, handcrafted and deeply atmospheric.
Rewarding Exploration: Discover fragments of a story hidden in the architecture and audio design.
Unsettling Soundscapes: A standout sound design praised by streamers for its intensity and originality.
Analog Horror Aesthetic: A visual style that evokes the 1970s and 80s, amplifying the nostalgic unease.
Flexible Gameplay: There are no timers, enemies, or precision tasks. All the of the puzzles are visual, there is no walls of text, just the minimal UI.
Engage with the world you explore and unlock its secrets. Discover which laws of reality can be broken, but beware... This place doesn't want you to escape!
There are no monsters that chase you, but an inescapable dark presence watches your every move. The game has minimal UI, realistic environments and dark soundscapes to lose yourself in. Passages take many shapes and it's up to you to escape from this twisted reality.

Game is a bit expensive for what it is. At first it was kinda scary hearing some unique sounds I've never heard before, but the toy levels turned the scary to just regular old slowpaced indie walking simulator. The supposed second part didnt add anything to the game, literally shorter versions of the same puzzles you already did earlier. Puzzles are basically the same thing over again. Enter the level, collect stuff and exit. Zero replay value without alternative paths or achievements. Didn't hate it in literal sense but it was a bummer. If there was a sideways thumb I'd give that.

DISCLAIMER - This is not a horror game. I made the assumption that this game was a horror game by watching the video. With that aside I would still recommend this game because (now that I go back and read the description) it does not claim to be a horror game. In fact the game is described as "no monsters, no combat" but that doesn't take away from the experience when you accept what this game is. Even though there are no monsters or combat the environments are massive and interesting to explore. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive (I even referred to this game as "Scavenger Hunt" at one point) but elements like scary noises, flickering lights and creepy faint whispers in your ear are enough to keep the player feeling a bit of tension as they progress through the game. Thanks for reading. Have fun and stay cool!
fun game ,on some places little heavy on resources.
好玩,但请求删除/重做第七章(超市手推车关),太重复了 枯燥无聊 拖低了整体质量。其他部分的视觉表现都很精彩!
