About
Liminal Shroud is a first-person psychological horror experience driven by atmosphere, not monsters or combat. Set within surreal environments that evoke a twisted sense of nostalgia, your focus is on navigating shifting spaces and concealed routes while piecing together fragments of a mystery woven into the Shroud itself.
By interacting with the spaces and objects around you, you'll uncover and the truth behind the Shroud… hopefully before you become a part of it.
Liminal Shroud has been praised by players for:
Original Environments: Every space is original, handcrafted and deeply atmospheric.
Rewarding Exploration: Discover fragments of a story hidden in the architecture and audio design.
Unsettling Soundscapes: A standout sound design praised by streamers for its intensity and originality.
Analog Horror Aesthetic: A visual style that evokes the 1970s and 80s, amplifying the nostalgic unease.
Flexible Gameplay: There are no timers, enemies, or precision tasks. All the of the puzzles are visual, there is no walls of text, just the minimal UI.
Engage with the world you explore and unlock its secrets. Discover which laws of reality can be broken, but beware... This place doesn't want you to escape!

What an amazing game. The levels are very unique, I didn't played an other Liminal Space Game which such levels. The Game creates immersive and thrilling atmosphere mixed with some spooky moments. My favorite levels are 5 and 9. It's one of these games where you can't get enough, so maybe we get a DLC with more levels.

A great little game. Nothing so hard or frustrating to make you put the controller down, a good 'one sitting' experience. I was in a state of unease throughout, curiosity and intrigue guiding me onward. Interesting and beautiful worlds to explore, would def play Liminal Shroud 2 if there is ever a sequel!
LOVE this game! It might be my favorite new liminal game. I love the environments, and the atmosphere, it's unique and not your typical backrooms inspired game. I cannot recommend it enough!
Played the demo recently and was surprised to find out the entire game was coming out in two days. I really enjoined the atmosphere it was a really interesting take on Liminal/Backrooms feel. I'm pleased they added some more jump scares as well, definitely got me a few times it was a nice change compared to most games where you get chased constantly. The game looked incredible and ran really well I hope you guys release more levels in the future. definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys liminal games.
it's important to note that nothing about this game felt cynical or careless, and that a very small group of people did a lot of hard work to craft a unique and interesting liminal space experience. when playing these types of things, I alternate between 2 moods: "ooh, what's this?" and "please let me leave". sadly this one tended towards the latter. none of the puzzles were hard and I was never so lost that I felt stuck, but, overall, every new space I found myself in felt to me first and foremost like a delivery system for some inane puzzle or fetch quest rather than something that maintains or advances the oppressive mysterious feeling that's captured so well at the beginning. you need to have some sort of challenge or obstacle so that you don't just finish by pushing forward for 90 minutes, but when enjoyment depends on subtle environmental storytelling and creeping audiovisual intrigue, for me all of that melts away when I'm usually busy searching for the 4th cardboard key or green shopping cart #5 for the second time. my mind isn't resting on those (genuinely) spooky whispering wind noises and beautifully drab interior details. my theory is that liminal space devs increasingly feel the need to craft "real games", and "real games" are supposed to have collectathons, puzzles & padding. the joy of playing liminal classics like pools and liminalcore is that you're not here to do any of that & are instead locked in to this enigmatic environment which, through traversal and exploration, promises to deliver ponderous and boundary-breaking experiences.
10/10 An incredible liminal space experience. It was much spookier than I expected, but it worked really well with the story. It did feel a bit linear, but I did enjoy the "objectives" that were in each stage. Really interesting rooms and very unexpected spaces to enjoy. Highly recommend. Bonus points if you take an edible beforehand.
Amazing game! So unique, so full of new creative liminal spaces! No monsters chasing you, no jumpscares, just walking around admiring the surroundings in an unsettling atmosphere - perfect! Even more perfect, because you can disable head-bobbing and there is only a little (if any) camera smoothing, so I had no problems with motion sickness and only the penultimate level had some kind of video distortion filter (which in my opinion would not have been necessary - in the demo, the level was amazing without it). There are flickering lights here and there, so watch out if you are sensitive to those. This game was apparently made by a very small team, which is all the more impressive given the many exciting and unusual ideas implemented with such great attention to detail. Many thanks to the devs for this fantastic game—please make a sequel! If you love liminal spaces and want to see something new and unique, this game is for you. All the others should at least try the demo!
Nice Liminal space game. Enjoyed the locations, which all look extremely nice. Puzzles are well integrated and are easy to understand which helps it not to get frustrating. Recommended to all who want a nice 2 hour experience, that will take you somewhere into the Shroud.
