Ok fun game, might be ok for *not too young* kids to just explore and kick open chests, pick flowers, the mechanics for "fighting" is kinda cool though there is no real combat in the game in the traditional sense. I was considering giving a negative review because I was really annoyed at the achievements, two in particular: 1. Needing to scare 500 birds but it stopped at 499/500 for me first time so I had to get it on a second fresh run. 2. Needing that second fresh run anyways because you need 15 points across 3 categories to max out stats, but you only get 13 in a run, so you can only max out two. If the birds would be bugged again a second time I would have given it a negative for sure, but I leave it at positive because I think besides these annoyances they made a cool game. (Guide stated devs had fixed the birds achievo but apparently not, might be just 50/50 if it locks up or not)
Lili: Child of Geos is a charming RPG that was originally a mobile game before being remade for other platforms. The game’s primary mechanic involves pulling flowers off the backs of enemies, a system that reveals the game's mobile origins. It combines puzzle-solving with a touch of quick reflexes, making for an interesting, if somewhat simplistic, challenge. Beyond that, the game focuses heavily on exploring the beautifully designed island of Geos, filled with quirky and humorous residents to interact with. The game offers plenty of collectibles that add depth to the experience and extends the playthrough, along with a handful of nostalgic nods to classic RPGs like The Legend of Zelda. While the gameplay can occasionally feel repetitive, its charm and visual appeal make it an enjoyable experience overall. For completionists, earning all achievements will require two or three playthroughs, with some achievements needing a bit of grinding. Despite this, Lili: Child of Geos remains a delightful, lighthearted adventure, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a cute, fun game.
Based on the game description, I expected something that would remind me of Zelda or Psychonauts. This game is nothing like those at all. HOWEVER, it is still a very fun collect-a-thon experience. It's a simple game that suffers slightly from the mobile to PC transition, but that flaw is easy to ignore because of how charming the game is. Dealing with the Spirits was a blast. Very simple system, but just involved enough to stop itself from being boring. The game itself isn't incredibly long, and as long as you aren't trying to 100% it in one sitting, it's a very pleasing way to spend an afternoon.
Charming and relaxing, nice to run around and explore the island and do little tasks to progress the game.

This is a glorified mobile game. The design is interesting and if it was more fleshed out and maybe had a better "combat" system that wasn't so repetitive and simplistic it could be a solid game.
Visually stunning game, lots of places to explore and reexplore! I absolutely adore this game
