The physics in Legendary Tales was built to mimic the way real weapons feel and act as close as possible while still being fun to play. Weapons have their own weight so that larger swings will do more damage. Not only that but enemies and destructible items also react to how hard you hit them for a truly engaging experience.

Want to try sneaky kills with a dagger? Hit your enemies from afar with a bow? Or just mash some faces with a morning star? There are a host of different weapon types to suit your play style so find what works for you! And for every weapon type you will find so many variations on their stats thanks to random number generated items. The items are classed into five categories ranging from normal to Legendary. which not only look awesome but have special abilities. What abilities? You’ll have to get one for yourself to find out.

As you fight your way through the world, your character will grow based on how you play. But there’s more to growth than just how you fight, work your way through the magic and skills available to truly bring your character to the next level.

Weapons are fun and all but through the skill tree you can improve your abilities with combat skills or find yourself a Legendary item with their own special abilities and even more, you can upgrade their skills!
If hunting for weapons in the dungeons isn’t for you then we have good news! You can create your own weapons with ingredients found on your adventures, or by honing the weapons you’ve collected. You can also make potions to prepare deep dungeon crawling and disassemble items you found during your adventures to get ingredients and enhance your crafted weapons or potions with them.
Get ready for an epic adventure in VR! Put on your headset, find some friends and head into the dungeon to start creating your own Legendary Tales.

It doesn't bring me much joy to say what I have to say about Legendary Tales; a game from such a humbly small developer but it all comes from the heart. Hopefully my shared experience of Legendary Tales can be of value to those considering jumping into this. >>>COMBAT<<< I like a challenge, I truly do... but the sort of challenges I had faced whilst co-oping my way through the game were the kinds I can't say were favourful. The brunt of my issues had to do with the combat (ya know... what you'll be doing 90% of the time). When I wasn't getting my melee weapons stuck in goblin or skeleton torsos (and not in the fun stabby way mind you, more like... clipping through enemy models, having said models freak the heck out and the interrupting of important attack animations cues, sorta way), I was swinging and hitting more narrow hallways than a passenger of the RMS Titanic. >>>DIFFICULTY<<< Nothing quite makes a game feel more satisfying to me than when its difficulty is balanced juuust right but... I gotta say, it's all over the place here. For the most part, it's simple enough to pick up a weapon and start hacking through the enemies in your way but my issue lies in how the game handles death. You see, so long as you or someone you're playing with remains alive during a fight, you can usually just make your way back to where you'd fallen in battle and continue on as if nothing happened but there were one or two times when this simply wasn't possible due to special battle conditions that require you to stay alive or it's back to the start of the fight and like... fair enough, it's all part of the challenge but my issue with this is that; while the final boss follows the 'stay alive or restart the fight' condition, at no point in the rest of the game does any other boss fight of this nature occur. The only other comparable fights would involve mere waves of grunt enemies you would be more than abundantly accustomed to by then, not bosses. Simply put, this is a clear cut example of a massive difficulty spike RIGHT at the end of the game and it left me beyond frustrated. ---SIDE NOTE--- Too bad I won't see the end of the game mind you, as my most recent Windows restore wiped my save file from my system. It seems as though Legendary Tales does not implement cloud saving... just my luck I guess... >>>VARIETY<<< Get used to the same environments and enemies throughout the entire game. I kept hoping to see new areas that could breathe some life into the samey locations or enemies other than goblins and skeletons (oh god the skeletons) but alas, it all just sorta blurs together after a while. >>>CONCLUSION<<< It's truly disappointing to have to report all this but man... I just felt so let down once all was said and done. If it weren't for the fact that this became my date night game with my hubby and the fact that he so highly advocated for it, I'd likely never have touched this game and maybe that would have been for the best. There were glimmers of fun to be had but not without thick layers of dissatisfaction and frustration throughout.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I can't trust VR game reviews on any platform at this point. Haven't had a good vr game in so long people don't even know what one looks like anymore
I've seen a lot of negative comments and I have yet to experience much bad, small issues here and there but not every game is perfect. The price is the only thing I had an issue with so I bought it on sale ~33 USD. This game is 100 percent worth it to play with friends as one of my friends that lives In Europe experienced no latency or issues with ping. Enemies do scale with the amount of people present but the number doesn't so if you have 4 people its hard to make sure everyone has a foe to fight. Solid 8/10
When I play this game I forget the reality we all currently live in. This game immerses me so much that I think it is real life. When the skeletons hit my with their swords I fall on the floor, screaming in pain. Once I did it so loud the cops showed up to the door because my neighbor was concerned for me.
I loved this game a lot. A lot of fun was had running around dungeons with friends and the progression system compared to other physics based VR fighters at the time was a big plus. The 1.0 release ruined the game. Index controllers are insane to use as you need to grip them really hard OR us the dreaded tap-to-grip-tap-to-release system which was way to finicky. And then there is the price increase. For a multiplayer VR game that is an insane price jump. If this is on sale and they've fixed issues with performance and the index controllers, go for it, otherwise pass.
Honestly, Legendary Tales is a huge letdown. The combat is clunky, unrealistic, and just plain bad. It feels like the game was made decades ago, not in 2024.
one of my favorite VR games. everything is perfect and performs well on my Oculus 2. I have enjoyed hours of this with friends and public lobbies with no issue. i hope to see a more visually improved sequel in the future.
who the hell puts a cylindrical collider under the HEAD of the player which pushes them away from stuff they're tryna pick up???? brother, i need to bend down to pick stuff up, why make it such a pain???
Kill, die, repeat. Its like VR dark souls if u just stayed in the first firelink shrine area 10/10
