A first-person psychological horror with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and storytelling. Explore an ever-shifting Victorian mansion as a painter seeking to complete his masterpiece, even at the cost of his own sanity.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Es mas walking simulator que juego de terror
I went into *Layers of Fear* expecting another “tortured artist goes insane” horror story… and yeah, that part is definitely there. But honestly? It didn’t matter as much as I thought it would — because everything else just pulls you in way too hard. This game absolutely nails atmosphere. The moment you step into the mansion, it feels like the house is alive and actively messing with you. Rooms twist, doors disappear, paintings change when you’re not looking — and the best part is, it never over-explains anything. You’re just stuck there, slowly realizing you can’t trust what you see. Gameplay-wise, it’s simple — mostly exploration with light puzzles — but it works perfectly. The devs squeeze a surprising amount of creativity out of “just walking.” One minute you’re opening drawers looking for clues, the next you’re second-guessing whether you should even turn around. Some moments genuinely got under my skin without relying only on cheap jumpscares (though yeah, there are a few). Where the game really shines is presentation. The visuals are gorgeous in a disturbing way — like walking through a living painting that’s falling apart. And the sound design? Unreal. Creaks, whispers, distant noises… it constantly keeps you on edge. Play this with headphones and you’ll understand. It’s not a long game, but it feels complete. No grind, no filler — just a focused psychological horror experience with multiple endings if you want to dig deeper. If you’re into story-driven horror, атмосферу, and games that mess with your head more than your reflexes — this is an easy recommendation. Especially on sale. Just… maybe don’t play it alone at night. Or do — if you enjoy suffering :)

Was a punishment game for me.. but cheesus.. it gave me chills like 20+ times, super short, but it gives you possibility of doing each chapter whenever ya wanna, so... you can just do that for 100%? But overall, it wasnt a bad game, quite good a 7/10 from Catto : ) And wishing everyone a good day/night!
