Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.13/day in the week to Jul 21 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I did enjoy It, old commandos vibe... little bit repetitive (especially the scavenging part). Otherwise, go for It. It is powerful history of Czechoslovak legions trapped in Russian civil war.

fun to play
Last Train Home is an absolute gem. I’m usually a turn based enjoyer and I love XCOM, so real time with pause is often not my thing, but here it clicked perfectly. It honestly feels like a beautiful mix of Soldiers and Men of War, just with way more focus on people and history instead of only on hardware. Captain Langer, played by a real actor, carries half of the emotional weight. After dozens of hours I genuinely felt like I knew the guy. The whole story of the Legion, the moral choices, the constant pressure of time on the campaign map, plus those tight tactical fights… it’s tough, but fair. More like “good XCOM” without the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 95 percent shots missing just to screw you. When you mess up an ambush you know exactly why your boys are flying from a grenade. When a plan works, watching that perfect crossfire or a clean grenade setup is pure satisfaction. I was doing a big work project with the game parked on Alt Tab and every time I switched back it felt like coming home to my unit. Stumbling onto this one really felt like finding a hidden little miracle on Steam. If you like tactics, history and real stakes, this is absolutely worth your time. And what is really nice - original Czech dubbing. This dubbing gives the game a second layer. English is ok, Czech is superior (but only if You at least know basics of any Slavic language).
"lois Tkadleček kneels next to the mangled body of a young soldier. Clearly, they had been friends once. Alois Tkadleček offers a brief and crooked smile to no one in particular before bending over the body of the deceased, crying silently." (lois Tkadleček's trait changes from "Humorous" to "Indifferent) "I'm... I'm sorry, Major. It was terrible. So many bodies. Women, children... murdered, violated. Whoever is behind this, the Reds, the Whites, or some bandits... they are not human." (All soldiers' morale significantly decreased) These are two of the most striking pieces of storytelling that I've uncovered in my first 12 hours of playtime. Last Train Home pairs shockingly effective and emotional storytelling (for a text based game) with RTS aspects, squad management, and train management. Although not being a first or third person perspective (instead a bird's eye view oriented game), the immersion is no joke, and I feel the hours slipping by anytime I play (This will be subject to change as I continue adding up hours.) Being a train game, the gameplay is quite linear, meaning inexperienced players have it easy when seeking progression. Just keep moving forward. However, the game remains very complex. The RTS and squad coordination aspects command a requirement of some brain power. The accessibility is quite decent, with UIs all looking very clean. Although the progression is linear, this is not a game that you'll be able to finish in 10-20 hours by the preliminary looks of things. At the time of writing this review, I am not even a quarter through the game. The RTS aspect is the most notable feature. Players should be quick to learn the nuances required to survive. Unlike other RTS who advertise their stealth, this one ACTUALLY has stealth as an important aspect, not just an optional path. Although you can go loud into every mission, I find it a lot more satisfying when I see that the total amount of ammunition gained from looting in the mission to be greater than the ammo I spent killing people. There's also just something different about having 10 snipers hidden in bushes and simultaneously headshotting 10 enemies who otherwise would've been painful to cut through. Quicksaving is an option in this game and is a very welcome feature to perfectionist or more careful players like me. Having played Barotrauma recently (also a great game) - where there was no quicksave option when playing in an active level - this game has been a good breath of fresh air. The challenges are never ending too. Every stage will present you with new threats and challenges. Your obstacles are not limited to soliders becoming ill or just your train carriages getting damaged. In an attempt to save spoilers, I will leave it at that. There's so much I have yet to discover in this game and I am really excited to keep playing. I bought the game on sale, but I'm not sure if sales are frequent. Nonetheless, the full price is still justifiable for complexity of this calibre. If you've read this far, just buy the dang game.
Very much a propaganda piece AND several other problems with the game itself. Slow loading, horrible FPS, shaky controls.. the list can go on. I'm going to try this out, but the beginning missions do not look great.
loved this a bit of everything
