Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 8 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you're picking it for the first time, don't expect too much. But if you played the original and developed the fondness for it I did, this is a safe bet for 50 hours of nostalgia. I think they made it easier, but then I got pretty good at the first. It's the "start over" you've been waiting for, if you played like I did.
8/10. Amazing game. Magic atmosphere, nice combat, huge variety of playstyles. Mix classes are possible. Crafting is very customizable. 100% achievements took 109 hours. Controls are not customizable, but they are intuitive, and you get used to it in a couple of hours. Semi-open world; choices almost have no effect on the world.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I played this game for hundreds of hours in middle school on my xbox 360 s, and still own the physical copy. I didnt find out about the remaster until a couple weeks ago, but didnt end up getting the game until this recent sale came out. For 15 bucks, which included Fatesworn DLC, ive already dumped 25 hours in the last few days playing on the new very hard mode which feels great in terms of difficulty and item drop rarity being increased. I find myself using every attack pattern for any weapon im using, properly using swaps, and im not even past lvl 15 yet lol it feels amazing to really get to use the mechanics against stronger mobs. The other difficulties i could really just steam roll without a second thought. I do wish there were more quality of life changes to things like how you search for your loot in your inventory and stash. TLDR; Grab the game on a sale, otherwise I'd only recommend spending the 40 bucks if its your first playthrough of the game. Returning players will want the DLC for a better endgame experience. Overall the graphics perfectly stand the test of time, especially on max settings like I'm using.
Almost half the side quests are bugged and so far one main quest has been buggy. This not an acceptable state for a video game. I'm personally offended a human being saw fit to put the story of Teeth of Naros to paper. It's the single worst storyline I've seen in an RPG. Combined with the quests being clunky, buggy and frustrating and I think it's the single worst experience I've had in an RPG. EDIT: I have completed the main quests (and DLC aside from Fatesworn) out of principle. I can't recommend it to anyone. There is way too much jank for what is at its core a very generic RPG. There's no reason to tolerate all the bad when there's nothing standing out as a highlight good.
From a bygone era of RPGs. This one I sadly missed, but thankful I now get to play it. Gives me the same feeling that Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2/3 did for me. Also, beautiful art direction. The game has aged well with its little fresh up for the remaster. Surprisingly fluid and mobile combat. Already surprised by the build variety and loot variety. Ultrawide support works great.
it took many years and several tries for me to really fall in love with this game. but i'm so glad i did!
use to love this game as a teenager but maaaaaan those 12 or so years from then have not been kind to this game. it still can be a fun time but there are tons of action rpgs nowadays that are better in every aspect.
