What a thoroughly intriguing game. The way all of your relationships change, in what is an hour for you but 15 years for them is super interesting. Idk how else to really explain it without spoiling it. I do suggest you read everything, because that definitely has an impact on your feelings on what is happening. Buy it.
NOTE: This game does NOT have a save system. When you click the log out button and it tells you that progress hasn't been saved, it doesn't just mean that chapter - it means the entire game lol as I found out the hard way I will be honest, the lack of save system does put a bit of a damper on things, even though this only lasts two hours or so. I like to play games in very short bursts, but couldn't do that here, and some of the news articles are a bit word dense. Towards the end of the game, I found myself more skim reading them (ADD moment), which I probably wouldn't have done if I could have played this game on my own terms Anyway, Killing Time has an amazing premise and while the execution may not be perfect, it's really enjoyable - although I would mostly recommend it on sale

I will say--this game was a bit difficult for me to finish. Not because the writing was bad or anything, but because this was my first true text-based game and I wasn't used to the more bare bones nature of the presentation. So it took me a second to get into it, but once the true story started to unfold, it was actually pretty interesting. I would recommend this game to anyone that is interested in social movements and/or social change as the parallels that arise in this world bring up some pretty fascinating moral and philosophical questions. That said, if you don't like reading in your video games or need a more colorful/animated presentation, I would steer clear. Try to play this game when you're feeling energized as it's a lot of dialogue and dark screens lol. But if you can get past that, this game tells a pretty progressive and interesting story.
Wonderful
Christ, I don't want those weirdos going through my memories.
After thinking for a while, I've come to realize that I don't really like this game. The questions it poses and the world it presents are interesting enough, yes, but at the same time there were multiple points in which I didn't find it very believable. I also didn't care much for its characters, which were mostly fine but not that compelling, and its ending, which was just brutally abrupt and unsatisfying. Perhaps I'm just not its target audience, as I loathe browsing Facebook and Twitter. Watching a group chat on Whatsapp or Discord probably would've made a bigger impact on me. Ah, oh well.
I love the concept art. Shame none of it is in-game. It's like doom scrolling in the real world on a DOS computer.
This small narrative really shows how something not complex can deliver many feelings
I finally know how my grandma feels when she scrolls through Facebook
This is a sweet little game. Interesting take on how technology could change (in) the future. I'm just a little disappointed that your actions don't really seem to have any consequences and I expected there to be more options to interact with the friend page. I'm glad I only bought it for like one euro on sale because anything over 4euros would be too much consídering you can finish playing it in one hour.
