Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth — це доволі чудовий роман, поданий у формі ігрової інтерпретації, і тут справді немає чого додати чи відняти.
*Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth* was one of the most absorbing and emotionally affecting adventure games I’ve played. I came to it with fairly low expectations. My previous experiences with Daedalic had been mixed: some of their games felt visually appealing but emotionally shallow, others too childish or irritating for my taste. *The Pillars of the Earth* felt completely different. Set in 12th-century England, it follows the people whose lives become intertwined with the construction of a cathedral in Kingsbridge. On paper, that may not sound like the most thrilling premise for a game. In practice, it becomes a sprawling human drama about ambition, faith, poverty, power, cruelty, survival and love. The real strength of the game is its characters. Over the course of its 21 chapters, divided into three “books,” you follow several protagonists through years of upheaval. Their lives intersect with nobles, clergy, craftsmen and ordinary people, and the game does a remarkable job of making the period feel harsh, unstable and deeply human. It is also much more mature than I expected from Daedalic. The story deals with violence, political manipulation, religious power and personal loss without becoming simplistic. Several of the central female characters are especially strong, and some of the most memorable parts of the game come from watching them fight for agency in a world that gives them very little. Mechanically, it is closer to a Telltale-style narrative adventure than to a traditional point-and-click. There is a lot of dialogue, some inventory interaction, timed choices and occasional mini-games. Most of those elements work well enough, although one late mini-game nearly drove me insane after forcing me to replay the same sequence repeatedly. Visually, the game is gorgeous. Its hand-painted environments give it a storybook quality that fits the historical setting beautifully. It is also slow. According to Steam, it took me close to 30 hours to finish, and this is not a game that rushes toward action or major plot twists. It works best when you are in the mood to sink into another world and stay there for a while. For me, that slowness became part of its appeal. I played it during cold, grey weather, and the whole experience felt strangely perfect for winter. By the end, the characters no longer felt like pieces in a historical plot. They felt like people I had lived alongside for a while. A beautiful, mature and deeply involving narrative adventure. ** Originally published in Hebrew on the “Olam HaQuestim” (“The World of Adventure Games”) Facebook page.
This game is great. I'm not even done yet and already love it. It's a visual novel, but feels more like an interactive movie thanks to the art, voice acting and music. The story grabbed me more than expected and I just want to protect all (well, most) of these people. Works well on Steam Deck, but you'll need to change the controller configuration to use the touchpads as mouse and face buttons/trigger as mouse buttons.
