This is a great fusion of rogue-like and RTS/city builder elements. Each game is fairly short, but you are forced to use a randomly determined set of technologies rather than the same building(s) each run. This leads to really creative opportunities and fun ways to experiment with your environment, but also leads to janky interactions and goofy moments. If you are willing to embrace some silly experiences and want lots of variation on your small-scale RTS/city builder? This game is a great pickup.

Game sucks lightly said. Visually its very beautiful, but mechanically it`s piece of sh##. The Ai of characters/villagers is Retarded, you can`t stop their actions, doing it manually like directing them some another route won`t help they still run end kill them self`s running in water or enemy territory or in some gigantic creature. They will run through enemy territory and micro managing them becomes frustrating. The enemy will come and kill you even if the inspiration point is on your resource territory or is not on their island or the route to the point is long. Not sure why steam says i have 42 hours in the game it`s closer to 100h. I bought this game pretty much when it came out. For the same reason i mentioned i stop playing it for 1-2 years tried it now again and it still suck, visually more beautiful than ever but it just keeps rage baiting you. don`t recommend.
This game is unique among the city builds, it has a different vibe, I usually jump in to play from time to time always keep it installed. The game is done in sessions, not total cities for hours upon hours like games such as banished or settlement survival, specific goals, achieve them, win.
I absolutely love this game. It gives hints, but the joy is in the discovery. The more you unlock the more the complexitiy of the world grows. There is a rather steep learning curve, but this game is beautiful. I appriciate that there is cobat, but that its mostly hands off if I choose. I often play at night one handed with my baby sleeping in my arms. The diversity and discovery of slowly unlocking the world keeps me coming back. I enjoy most that I am challenged. I don't win every game, but I learn from every game. Bravo!
I love the style of the game, but the gameplay gets somewhat repetitive and boring after a while. There are also too many gamebreaking bugs such as the softlock in the title screen if you use "wasd" and the controllable NPCs not pathfinding correctly. I hope these bugs are addressed in the future since there is still great potential for this game
Cool game but Linux support is terrible
i wanna love this game, it got all the good parts, but its so buggy, and its different bugs every round. i lost 7 games in a row to bugs, and its the same everytime i wanna give the game another chance. bugs: mostly workers not responding or glitching or getting stuck, but also buildings not being worked on and more
Very charming game. Each round of this "roguelike citybuilder" only last around half an hour, so you are constantly experimenting with new techs and sinergies.
