Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Islands of the Caliph is a grid-based, dungeon-crawler style rpg taking place in a low magic, fantasy world based on Islamic mythology. Game mechanics are pretty simple; move, block, attack, heal, improve gear, eat, and sleep. The unnamed PC finds themselves traveling across 9 islands carrying out various quests that culminate in
rediscovering the lost Quran
. Islands usually need to get 'unlocked' before they can be traveled to. There are plenty of side quests along the way and lots of exploring to do. Combat isn't too difficult. I definitely died a few times but I never ran into an insurmountable fight. Grinding is rewarded in gaining experience, gold, and occasionally gear. The puzzle to begin the final quest is pretty difficult to even know what the puzzle is, let alone solve it. I did end up looking up solutions on Discord and the Steam discussion board but I didn't have to do that until the very end. The story is well-told. Behind the story, there is some really beautiful music and nicely done pixel art. I especially enjoyed that, as someone who grew up appreciating the beauty and poetry that can be a part of Islamic culture, we get a game that focuses on that beauty and poetry at a time when so much of the discussion about the religion is very negative. Definitely a recommendation if you're looking for a nice, indie pixel RPG.

never before has a game filled my niche needs in such a perfect way. the absolute respect that the developer shows to Islam and it's ingenious integration into the game play makes up for any of the few shortcomings, if you like exploring and reading lore you'll love this
Great game with interesting secrets

It's just very nice. Simplified rather than extravagant is a good way to describe it. Simple attacks and easy to understand mechanics. However there is no handholding so the player is expected to figure out the way forward on their own. There is also a refreshing abscense of 'filler' or grind to pointlessly pad out the game. The first couple of islands will not be difficult though it's possible to get lost for a while on the very first one. There will be areas to come back to later on. Creatures and loot respawn so it's always possible to make a little bit of money or XP progress even if you've blown all your money on blister ointment and now cannot afford a ticket home. There's a lot more but you should explore it yourself. Visuals don't look good in pictures but they work in game. Low fidelity but magical. Music is very enjoyable. Maybe the game doesn't compare well to classics like Anvil of dawn or Ishtar III but it is in ways much easier to play and enjoy. My only fault is the inventory is difficult to reorganize owing to no mouse controls. That's it. The game is overt in it's Islamic influences and features without it feeling like a gimmick. It's just a normal part of the world, though i did find it amusing when i walked into a mosque and got told my character doesn't know what to do there. Fitting as probably most of the players will be the same. tld;r Nice world, beautiful setting and music, simple and effective controls, combat, quest system + several worlds/islands to explore. I think it deserves a playthrough just based on it's outstanding looks and music but it's a quality grid-based RPG as well, not just a pretty concept.
Very basic 80's RPG game, played many of these back in the day on windows98 and on my phone before the androids. The start of the game was rough but once you find your way through it, it opens up more and becomes more interesting. But as for all old RPG games, it's not for everyone. I was honestly getting slightly bored of the game after 2.8hrs because I got so many quests and I was kind of lost with so many islands around me, but I still would recommend it to old RPG lovers.
