About

The world is dead. The state has collapsed. In a forgotten Eastern Bloc town, you are alone but not truly alone. Something stirs beyond the walls, and none of it means you well. You have only one reason to keep going: survive long enough to find your wife, Valeria. But in the cold and darkness of this unforgiving night, will you ever make it back to her?

In the hellish streets of this Eastern Bloc town, every bullet matters. There are ways to fight back, but survival demands more than firepower. Use the weapons at your disposal to clear a path, scavenge tools to overcome the obstacles ahead, and avoid unnecessary confrontations whenever you can.

Iron Blight aims to deliver an immersive gameplay experience built around atmosphere, vulnerability, and the crushing weight of isolation. Every bullet matters, and the sound of gunfire may draw even more horrors to your position. Even something as simple as opening a locked door demands thought. You must manage your food and medical supplies, move cautiously through the streets, and always consider what might be waiting around the next corner.
True Survival Horror Gameplay: Navigate desolate streets and claustrophobic interiors, where danger lurks around every corner. Solve puzzles and face the terrors that will force a choice: fight, flee, or die.
Resource Scarcity and Tension: Resources are scarce. Do you risk using your last bullet to take down a monster, or do you save it for a more critical moment and hope to slip past unnoticed?
Diegetic Grid-Based Inventory: Every single item matters, and space is a luxury you can't afford. Carefully manage your limited inventory grid, making agonizing choices about what to carry and what to leave behind.
No HUD, No Distractions: No health bars, no ammo counters, no intrusive menus. Every piece of information is conveyed through your character and the world around you. Your only interface is your own perception.
A Unique Weapon System: Check your magazines manually, round by precious round, and reload with deliberate, step-by-step actions. Every firefight becomes a tense test of your nerves and skill.
A Bleak and Oppressive Atmosphere: Rain-slick cobblestones and flickering fluorescent lights lead you deeper into a town that feels cold, hostile, and suffocating. The distant cries of things that should not exist echo through its desolate streets.
A Return to Forgotten Horror Traditions: Fear comes from the atmosphere, the gnawing uncertainty, and the constant presence of death. The story is told through the environment itself, and combat is a slow, methodical dance where every shot matters.

good small zombie game. it feels like it could be the framework of another bigger game in the future.

This is one of those games where i wish you could give a mixed review, It's a fun first person RE clone, But it's very plain & mediocre at the same time.
I was a little skeptical of this when I booted it up and got into chapter 1. The initial area was a bit rough around the edges and the jank was noticable, but I'm glad I stuck with it. The game earned its price tag with chapter 2 and all the great level design and encounters. The jank didn't prevent the fun. I'd happily come back for more chapters. Some feedback: improve perf, I had a few sections of chapter 2 drop to 50fps on my beefy rig when 4+ enemies were active and some physics objects were active. I'd strongly recommend doing a polish pass on the opening 30min of the game as I was debating a refund and that would've been a shame with how awesome the back portion of the game is. (smooth out some of the zombie death anims, the UI has some oddities where menus trap input or don't close, I almost locked my game up when trying to replace a pipe and the ui became unresponsive). Storywise for future content: I found the enemies in the final minutes an OK twist and decent way to shake up the ending. Please keep 'mutants' the focus in future content though.
Nota: 8/10 Tempo: 3h40m
One of the most immersive zombie survival horror games I've played. From the No More room in Hell-esque digetic HUD to the realistic sounscape to the rough nonlinearity of the level (well, mostly level one). I think this falls off a bit in Chapter 2. There's a lot more scripted events, there's many paths but they're all much more linear, and as a result you begin to feel less like a capable but hapless bystander in the wake of a disaster and more like The Videogame Protagonist. However, what it loses in immersion, it gains in gameplay and mechanics. So many new weapons, monsters, and tools are introduced in this segment that I can't really hold it against the game. I still wish it could maintain the atmosphere that hooked me in Chapter 1, but it's an acceptable loss for what is gained. For me, Chapter 1 is the atmosphere, and Chapter 2 is the challenge. I'm always looking for great titles in the survival horror genre, and Iron Blight is an excellent buy.
Iron Blight me ganhou principalmente pela atmosfera. O combate é anormalmente lento e pouco responsivo, algo que me lembrou imediatamente Labyrinth of the Demon King.
Great homage to all those old survival classics while doing enough to stand out on its own. Despite the low res graphics or maybe because of it, the atmosphere was on point and really sets your tension high and nerves on edge especially when the game forces you into close quarters. Lovely gun mechanics; smooth animations and surprisingly a lot of depth in terms of what you can find and what the game allows you to do with said guns. Was not expecting that level of quality compared to the usual indie offerings in this genre. Was a nice touch to have your backpack be a physical entity in the world instead of another menu item; really helps to immerse yourself in the world and raise the odds. Didn't encounter any bugs and the gameplay ran smoothly except some areas with texture pop ins for background props but nothing major. Was also going to wait awhile to finish playing because i thought the gun was bugged (Make sure to ♥♥♥♥ your gun later on) but thankfully found out the solution for it. Definitely worth the money and gave me a few decent jump scares as well.
