pros: - GREAT tutorial, teaches you basically everything u need to know - super cool animations, as expected for a game this price - great voice acting, especially from my goat Aleks Lee !! - very fun gameplay mechanics, very fun to find your own combo and favourite characters and teams - great FPS for a not-so-great PC, im easily running 60 or more, I haven't realized any bad performance. - very cool ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that u get for playing a certain character and leveling them up cons: - massive skill ceiling, you could definetly nolife this for a couple days and beat 90% of players - lots of paying for cosmetics and DLC characters, kinda like smash bros, but cmon man... 10$ for ONE skin? - not very important but the harder bots are not holding back, and will taunt you MID-GAME and after winning. - the price. - story mode is very short - the matchmaking SUCKS. like actually I could have 5 wins and be at level 3 and I verse a guy with 500 wins and 50 levels - the max. also be prepared to matchmake the same opponent multiple times, even after declining the match. I have def spent 30m in matchmaking just staring at a screen. although it gives me time to read while I wait. I have been playing on and off for a couple weeks, and I read inbetween matches, and I have now read every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ book I own. seriously this is a massive problem for me. now I understand the game is not finished, and they are very open about their upcomiong plans and updates now it looks like a lot of bad, and I definetely have days where I regret buying this game, but its also so much fun to verse other people, find all the cool skins, the long combos, and figuring out which characters suit me the best. definetely don't get this game if you don't have previous experience with fighting games, and you will be DESTROYED by other people, and in my case (now this might just be a skill issue) the story mode. all in all, the good outweighs the bad, but there are still some things to fix. 7/10

I want to Love this Game, I really do. The gameplay is insanely fun and addictive, the game graphically looks great, the voice actors did a great job. Everything should make me like this game. However, the game is not worth $50 with over $80 of DLC Skins, including skins for DLC Characters that you have to already pay either $20 for Digital Deluxe Edition or $6 for each character individually. The Single Player content is rather lacking, the Story Mode is only 1-2 Hrs Long, and it took them several months after launch to add Endless Arcade. Plus with every major update or even when the game launched, there seems to be some issues with people being unable to access either new content or content they already had prior to the update. As I said, the gameplay is fun, but the price schemes are absurd for what you get in return and the developers managed to repeatedly screw over something with each and every update. If you want this game, just wait for a sale. It's not worth it at full price.
Extremely beginner friendly, with consistent quality of character designs, plus a dev team that seems to genuinely care and responds to player feedback. I have high hopes for the future of this game.

Listen up developers!!! (PS fix it not launching ASAP and I’ll immediately switch to thumbs up) This could be a great game, but the performance sucks on Steam Deck and even on top tier handheld. Not to mention: YOU JUST NUKED THE GAME AND IT WON’T EVEN LAUNCH ON STEAMOS! I love Killer Instinct, and to this day will back it up as one of the best fighting games. Not every fighting game is for everyone but I love the crazy combo, combo breaker, chess match punishing play of these games. Invincible VS has the right license and characters, beating each other crazy until one loses. BUT THE GAME HAS TO RUN! FLAWLESSLY! ON ALL SYSTEMS (current). Period!!! *at least if you want it to succeed as a competitive fighting game Also, maybe hire me for a PM or Roadmap Designer, because you could do such much like: *submissions (sounds crazy but I have a cool idea for this 3v3) *Tag Overkills *Mercy (this should sound familiar ;-) *Stage interactions *etc etc etc etc
It's a very cool fighting game. I love the Invincible universe, the animations are great, the combos feel really good when you land them. However a recent update has made the game feel like ♥♥♥♥ with network stutters on a perfectly stable ethernet connection, multiple inputs aren't registering (such as blocking) and it's making online play, which is the core of the game, really unenjoyable. The update also introduced a load of bugs, some of which affecting the actual fighting which of course has immediately resulted in people abusing them in-game. I won't be changing this review until it is fixed. EDIT: Almost 2 months later since this review was posted, and multiple updates, this issue is still not fixed and on top of this there seems to be some kind of ping lag cheat going around. On multiple occasions i'll be clearly beating someone and then there is conveniently a network lag at the perfect time, the ping counter skyrockets which saves them and persists until the end of the match so they can win, with almost nothing you can do about it on your end. Don't spend money on the DLC's, don't directly pay for the game, if you must get it, get it from a key reseller for a heavy discount. At least until these issues can be addressed.
