About
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is a side-scrolling shelter survival game that tasks you with guiding a desperate group of zombie apocalypse survivors to safety. Craft weapons, scavenge resources, balance your group’s needs, and try to get everyone out of danger alive.
Texas, 1980. Walton City is a sprawling, coastal metropolis in the grip of a scorching heatwave and crippling economic crisis. Everything changes when an unstoppable zombie outbreak reaches US shores. Walton City is soon overrun by hordes of the undead, the few remaining survivors cut off from any chance of outside help. Forced to band together, these everyday people must chase their only chance of survival by escaping the city.

Gather a group of ordinary people who have been left shaken by the sudden zombie outbreak that has devastated their city.
Establish upgradable shelters to house your survivors and protect them from the zombie threat — but remember that no barriers can keep them out forever.
Keep moving from refuge to refuge to stay one step ahead of the encroaching zombie hordes. Every night, your barricades will be under their relentless attack. And if they break through, your survivors will pay the price.
Balance the physical needs of the group, like Hunger or Exhaustion, as well as psychological needs like Despair. Heal survivors from injuries like Broken Ribs and try to manage traumas like Nightmares.

Creep through the remains of Walton City to scavenge precious resources, risking the life of each survivor as they encounter both zombie and human threats. Stealth is key to survival.
Choose whether to run from a fight or engage in brutal combat with whatever weapons you can find or craft. Not everyone is a natural fighter, but desperate people will do anything to survive.
Convince others to join your group or cut them down and claim their resources as your own.

Test your humanity as you make tough decisions on who will live, who will die, and who will be left behind.
Inhabit the rich and atmospheric cityscape of Walton City, the once-bustling metropolis now an eerie ruin swarming with zombies.
Craft tools, weapons, and shelter upgrades to better equip your survivors for the struggles ahead, or give them a moment of comfort and familiarity in their dangerous new world.
Encounter a varying world which makes sure that every playthrough is a new experience.

This was a very fun game and I enjoyed it very much. I only have a minor suggestion, when crafting something like bandages, it would be nice to see how many i already have in stock without having to go into that huge inventory.
very good
I am surprised I never heard of this game prior to a few days ago. Despite what I read in some other reviews, the game has ran well for me with no crashes and feels very fleshed out for an early access game (There is definitely room for more, but the standard for early access varies so widely that I am always happy when a game baring that status has this much content). I seem lucky to have started playing now though; reading through the update logs with what was fixed, what was added, what was changed, etc. makes it sound like I probably wouldn't of been this pleased a few months ago. I liked This War of Mine and I like games like State of Decay 1 & 2 and Project Zomboid. The most obvious influence here is TWoM. The core mechanics are just about the exact same. I like how the characters written and how many of them have handcrafted story missions. By coupling this with the permadeath aspect, morale system, and the relationship mechanics - PikPok gave their characters a strong feeling of depth. They aren't like blank-slate peons that can die and be easily replaced, especially because of the new skill tree system. Each character can change the course of the run when they have the right perk. On the other hand, there are negative perks that might alter how you play. For example, some people are vegetarian, some don't like being penned up in the shelter all day, some are really annoying if they're in the same room where someone else is trying to sleep. Now that I got the hang of it I do believe this game is significantly more forgiving than TWoM. Combat is much less risky and a core part of the game, whereas in TWoM it was usually a bad idea even if you were armed up. There is a chance to get infected is present, and more likely the higher the difficulty. Backpack size is limited and can vary from one person to the next which gives the game challenge while you try to develop your shelters utilities. People dying affects shelter-wide morale as you would expect. Killing innocent people does the same, but where this game diverges from the latter is some people just do not care! It sounds messed up, but it's nice to see a game like this where everyone is affected differently. I even had a character gain a positive trait after completing a mission that involved some questionable choices. Neat! The game is visually captivating. The art direction, the 1980 Texas setting, each location looking lived in and modeled meticulously. It all contributes heavily to the experience and immersion. The game world changes as you progress which spices things up and there are multiple endings in addition to the character missions i mentioned earlier. Each one seems to have it's own challenges and gives the game some nice variety. What I don't like: There's a handful of mostly knit-pick things that comes to mind for me personally. I'll list them in order from dumbest to least dumb: 1. Why do I need tape to make a broken glass bottle? is the idea the tape protects the neck of the bottle as the character smashes it? I don't think that helps... also nail-bats should be made from baseball bats not a pallets worth of 2x4s. 2. The guns do this weird audio cut-out thing when I fire in rapid succession. It throws me off when my D9 suddenly goes silent as I am laying out a swarm of zombies. 3. It is way too easy as a new player to miss-click and skip an entire dialogue exchange between characters. I did this at least 3 times early on and had to go to the wiki to figure out what was said. All in all i think this game is the best $25 I spent in a long time and I look forward to seeing what's to come!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The more I learn about this game while playing it, the more I love it!
쳐음엔 재밌었는데 업뎃하고 자원이 자원 줄어서 게임 진행이 너무 루즈해짐....
Great game if you like "This War of Mine". It has been like 10 years since that game came out and nothing has come close to it since this game released. Combat feel great and rewarding, you have to pick your battles, as your weapons will wear out over time. Zombies hang out in the background, meaning you can't kill them until you alert them. Zombies encounters are generally dangerous if you fight more than 2 zombies at a time, 1 will grab you the other will punch you. fighting zombies might also alert other zombies. You can get festing wound and broken bones from fighting. Sound is a big part of the game as well, staying to long in one spot or walking or running will also alert zombies. There are plenty of more mechanics, but in genereal I believe it has major improvements to the formular, and the setting fits great. It's worth the full price for sure.
Get it while it's on sale.
It's a very good game
