Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Have I sunk many hours into this game? Yes. Am I going to continue playing it? Almost certainly. Can I "recommend" it? No. Firstly, the only thing keeping me playing this game is having a friend to play with. I would not enjoy this game solo. Secondly, there is no real plot - the one that is there requires you to piecemeal conversations from various NPCs and if it's been a few days/weeks since you played, there's no real chance to get "caught up" to what's happening plot wise. It's fun. There's something here. But thirty dollars? Absolutely not.
Inkbound is soooo insanely underrated. This is made from the same people who made Monster Train, but it sadly has gained nowhere near the hype of that game, although I think this one is far more interesting. Instead of a deck builder, this game plays more like Balder's Gate with it's turned based combat and has a lot of addicting mechanics that work surprisingly well once you get a build going. if you are a STS enjoyer or even a BG3/Divinity enjoyer, this one absolutely deserves a chance.

This game is really fun and really well done but the devs have announced that they are no longer updating the game, which is insane for a game not even a full year old imo. unless the game goes down to like 5$ DO NOT PURCHASE IT OR ANY OTHER GAME BY THE DEVS, you never know when they will abandon the game and take your money.
Great Games, devs left it due to sales not meeting expectations. Lame Devs, good game. No more updates for said game i do not advise grabbing it.
I would recommend this game because it is a lot of fun; However going forward i cannot advise people to spend money on it unless a deep sale comes around. Today Shiny shoe announced via discord that they will no longer be putting their attention towards Inkbound, and that it will no longer be receiving any updates. as it stands for now there will be on going server support for multiplayer, but unclear how long that will last into the future.
Really good but short of great. Definitely worth the price of admission. Probably worth even more if you have a buddy to play it with. This game is no longer receiving updates and will not get any DLC. When compared to its predecessor, Monster Train, this game falls very short for me.
At the core - this game IS fun and you CAN sink a solid amount of hours into it. It has enough variation to appease players, like myself, who enjoy the trial-and-error process for discovering amazing combos/builds/etc. So with this personal experience in mind AND the discount that I purchased it at: this game will scratch a few itches for those that want a different rhythm of rogue-ish game-play (I come from HADES, Gunfire Reborn, and other similarly paced titles). However, as of 2/19/2025 - the Devs announced they would not pursue content expansion for this game (the gaming world is still driven by profits unfortunately - it's a reality we [players] must accept). So my ultimate thumbs down comes with the context of "I knew I would have played a LOT more when the expected content expansion went live" but now that is no longer a possibility for the foreseeable future and by that philosophy I do not recommend purchasing this title. I am quite sad that this is the fate of a framework that showcased some great promise to a niche set of players. Maybe you (the reader) will support other titles this dev group releases to possibly fund another budding idea that ultimately would be a solid experience.
I loved this game, which is sad, because the devs stopped working on it DESPITE promising more content and throwing all promises and players' trust toward them away.
Support dropped huge L. Game was dope.
