Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This has all the mechanics I'm looking for in a rogue-lite. The unique approach to turn-based combat is a lot of fun. I felt I should make a review since I'm seeing it get hammered by negative reviews. I can understand being disappointed there won't be further devleopment of the game, but what is there is really good already. I had a great time and don't regret the purchase at all.
Light and hollow Don't like the combat system and that is basically the whole game Story of the game is poorly done Lots of the layout is a copy of Hades, which isn't a terrible thing but it reminds you of how many better games you could be putting your time into 5/10

An amazing game by the amazing devs that also brought us Monster Train. Whether you like to play alone or with a team of up to 4 people, it's all great fun. There's also an amazing amount of original storyline content and fully voiced cutscenes. If you find yourself struggling, be sure to check out my or other player's Youtube videos with several daily challenges and highest difficulty playthroughs for every class.
I'd normally say "yes, this is fine", but 30 bucks is a steep ask for what it is, to be honest. Let's get gameplay out of the way first: It's a rogue-like/lite. Your character doesn't really gain any strength between runs, save from 1 bonus out of many you can unlock that influence the run. Other than that playing unlocks new items that can drop during runs. Some of them good, some of them not so much. You could argue that by increasing the item pool you'll actually make the game harder, since it's more difficult to build a certain way, but at least on easy and normal I didn't really have that much trouble. Other than that you can unlock different characters. They all kind of look similar, because they're just "skins" for you to wear. And what you wear depends on the cosmetics you've unlocked, or rather, purchased, because this game has monetization, and that's another downside, to be honest. The various characters play suitabily different, but then again, not really enough. Playing as the Magma Miner isn't all that different to playing as the Godspear or whatever it's name is. Each has a different passive to build around, and some prefer status effects or damage reflection over other things, but ultimately you can build them the way you want. Their 3 distinct skills are often not that distinct, but variations of damage in a line, cone or area. It's fine, but nothing ground-breaking. The last unlockable character, the Star Captain, is locked behind an arduously long quest chain, which I have no inclination to complete. 2 more skills can be picked up during a run, but they're shared between all classes. Furthermore you can augment your run with items and skill upgrades. Combat is differentiated between getting hit in the face, which can only be avoided by killing the attacker or mitigating the attack with armor, which is rare, or having to move out of an aoe effect. This is where the unique movement and attack system comes into play. You can move freely around the arena ... in a circle depending on your movement speed. Position yourself wisely to avoid incoming damage. Sounds good on paper. In reality, especially in boss fights, you take UNAVOIDABLE damage, and that sucks, especially if you have a glass cannon build that suddenly gets oneshot without anything you can do. Lesson learned, I guess, but it's just a cheap way to stop the player from actually stacking these items if they can get them. Risk vs. reward is out of the window when the risk is guaranteed, and the reward cannot keep up. That's the main hook of the game: repeat the content ad nauseam. Each run has you go through 2 different areas you won't realize the difference anymore after a while. They have their unique enemies, but they all kinda blend together after a while. Then you fight 2 bosses, 1 for each region, and a final boss. The game has you collect and visit various items and locations to progress its story. Said story is yawn-inducingly generic and boring. Something evil is going on and the Ink-guy wants to stop it, so in you go, over and over again. Then you return and you get to do it all over again. Now, do 5,000 damage to a specific boss. In you go. It's just there so you have something to do. The story and characters are supposed to be cute and interesting, but I just found them annoying. All the modern tropes are there, of course, including the voice acting. Like I said, nothing is terribly bad or offensive. Everything is "fine", but nothing more, imho. I'd get it during a sale, perhaps. Unlocking and testing out all characters will take around 10 hours or so. That's okay value in my book. The USP of this game is probably its co-op multiplayer, which likely requires friends, because I can't picture this with randoms...
A turn based roguelike with simultaneous online play and lots of complexity and replay-ability. The online multiplayer is seamless, the individual play is also lots of fun. The vestige set system is super cool. The class variety and build variety are lots of fun. I don't have anything bad to say about this game.
Once you've seen the hub and done a single run ... you've seen the majority of the game's content. The game play loop is just unlocking more power ups ... and cosmetics ... so that you can do the exact same game play loop again and again, but maybe with more difficulty parameters ... oh boy ... what mind numbing and boring design IMHO. And ... as far as the story goes ... A needless story for a needless game. I lost interest by the time I was on my fourth or fifth run. Most of my hours are just spent messing with settings and waiting for my friend to play with while running around the extremely limited "hub". And now that I'm thinking about the hub. FFS ... the way the game stutters and briefly hangs every time a player joins the lobby you're in ... for someone like me, it's really irritating. I couldn't recommend avoiding this game enough.
this game isn't very solo-player friendly.
Um roguelite de turnos extremamente interessante e difícil, todo movimento ou ação errada pode determinar a vitória ou derrota na batalha. Pra quem é fã de jogos por turno e gosta de um desafio, esse jogo é indispensável!
as usual, i beg steam for a neutral review option. no full damage recap in this kind of game is absolutely criminal. theres no way to tell how viable certain builds are, how certain builds will hold up in solo or coop etc. and knowing the game devs abandoned ship after a failed battlepass and lack of revenue (so therefore no further development) really sucks. especially because stats recap was apparently on the roadmap at some point? womp womp. maybe they will update, and then i will revisit this review. game is still fun though. probably only buy on massive discount. From a mod on the official inkbound reddit: On the discord the dev team announced that the shiny shoe team has decided to no longer continue ongoing support for the game citing insufficient sales to continue the project. The team says that they plan to keep servers running for the foreseeable future and continue to discount the game to a lower and lower price but not release any new content for the foreseeable future as well. Shiny shoe stated that they are a small team and have decided to move focus to a different product they plan to announce when ready, but to expect radio silence till then.
Really well-designed gameplay. I like the positioning, the abilities you upgrade in different ways to fit a good synergy build. The art is missing that extra polish even if enemy designs are pretty fun thematically. (similar in Monster Train imo). It can be a little overwhelming with the set bonuses and to decide which to choose/change (and the UI isn't helping enough, especially when playing on controller), but it is smart that getting rid of items (think joker cards in Balatro) gives you bonuses instead of just being a waste. Also, often when playing multiplayer, one in the party gets a lot more overpowered than the others which can feel bad. But overall really unique and fun game that deserves more recognition. Hope somebody else makes a take on this type of gameplay and perfects it in the future!
