The game has a talking cat

What I liked about the game

Fantastic soundtrack. The soundtrack blends in well with the game’s theme.
I like the idea behind the game/story. I like the idea that you can use cassette tapes to enter the world of Desmond’s (protagonist) patients to discover what happened to them. I like the role that Mayer Pharmaceutical (one of the game’s main antagonists) played and how it was linked to the patients. I like that you have a hub area to explore and come back to. The game can make you feel emotional sometimes.
Likable characters like Tonia, Desmond and the best character in all gaming history Dave. I liked that Tonia is a cat. I thought the bosses throughout the game were amazing.
I thought the puzzles throughout the game were fun and not overly challenging. They’re not the type of puzzles that make you look up a guide or make you put foot through the monitor.
The game has its scary moments. The supermarket level was probably the best.
Plenty of hidden items throughout the game. As you play through the game you will come across items which will unlock new areas, like a glass shard or flare gun.
The game play was solid.
The game was just the right length.
What I disliked or was disappointed with

Enemies (excluding bosses) were a bit boring. The game’s common enemies reminded me of them boring tar-like enemies from Resident Evil 7.
Would have liked the game to have been scarier. The first cassette was fantastic, but unfortunately, in terms of scariness, the rest of the tapes went a bit downhill in that regard. The level locations were perfect and the horror atmosphere is good, but the horror could have been better.
Too family friendly, needed more blood and gore.
Would have been cool if the player could use melee weapons.
Stamina is a bit pathetic, even when upgraded. It made the last tape and the final boss a pain in the ass to complete.
Agent Rainbow (main antagonist) was a bit over the top.

Conclusion
It’s amazing how We Create Stuff have gone from creating mods to making their first full game. The game reminded me a lot of Alan Wake, with it taking place in a small town. The game tells a very interesting story. The game also has an amazing soundtrack and enjoyable puzzles. If you like story driven games, then I highly recommend you give this game a go.
8/10
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I paid $3.75 for this game, and let me say, it's no doubt worth the play through at that price. For $35 normal price, mmm, probably not. The story is good. Great idea and it's told nicely. It's set up for a sequel. This isn't a horror game in the slightest. It has some, startles, I'd call them, which are usually more funny than scary. Unfortunately the game started to lose me after the first tape, but up to the end of the first tape, it was genuinely really enjoyable; Virginia's story alone was worth $3.75. Afterwards though, it became more of an errand running simulator with how it handled objectives. The voice acting was also well done. I enjoyed that aspect a lot, and especially, again, in Virginia's chapter. All characters were done well with good stories. Cool enemy versions of the patients too. The game does a lot right, but playing through it felt a little chore-like near the end. Worth playing on sale for sure though. 6.5/10
idk it's not bad, but bored me after a while
While on the horror stand point, I find it not quite scary, I do find the liking with how 'Electric' everything in this games feels. Although this game is obviously made with a lot of inspiration from other games; In my opinion the gameplay is somehow quite unique, the story is interesting and surprisingly broad despite how personal everything is, and I like that the game never take you off from the driving seat—there's no instances of cutscenes or something of the sort, from the moment you get into the character it just goes on. I absolutely Love It!

I got this game first on the ps5 when i was in a really dark place in life, this game actually saved my life
In Sound Mind has got to be just about one of the most important games I've ever played. Words cannot describe how special this game is to me. I first played it back in 2022 because I saw it was free on Epic Games. I thought "Oh, that's the game that The Living Tombstone was teasing on their channel." and copped it immediately. I was excited. And, my god, it was amazing. It's been four years now and I finally decided to replay- after years of talking about it to other people, telling them it was one of the best games ever made, singing its praises, the whole nine yards, my memory of it had gotten foggy. The story, the gameplay, all of it was getting a bit distant. So when I replayed this game and loved it just as much as I did back then, if not more so, I was delighted, and not at all surprised. When I say this is the best game I've ever played, I really do mean that. The level design is on-point. The combat is frantic and tense but if you understand it well enough you'll be moving like Doomguy. The soundtrack genuinely has to be the greatest I've heard in a game ever. And the story... the STORY... of course, without spoiling, this is the most emotional, most compelling narrative I've ever experienced in anything. Ever. It's subtle where it works, and direct where it needs to be. It balances a great sense of humor with a scary atmosphere and darker subject matter PERFECTLY. All of this game's characters are great. There are literally no misses here. The voice acting is good, the writing is good, and the way they integrate the story into the game's visuals and gameplay is nothing short of superb. Do you get the point I'm trying to make here? IN SOUND MIND IS REALLY GOOD. This game rivals Silent Hill 2. This game is better than bacon. If you haven't played In Sound mind, YOU HAVE NOT LIVED. Play this game. 100% this game. Pick it apart. Replay it. Get obsessed with its soundtrack. Come to understand its story and its themes. Lock it into your brain forever as a piece of you and who you are. In Sound Mind has been one of the greatest inspirations in all of my artistic endeavors (of which there are not many, none of which are very significant, but I digress.) Pay full price, wait for a sale, see if it's made free again on Epic Games, what have you. Just. Play it. Get the game, but also like... GET the game, you feel me? Yeah. Yeah you do. Go play In Sound Mind.
Great psychological horror game with fun puzzles, good jump scares, and an interesting story that kept me hooked till the end. The atmosphere is creepy, and each level feels unique. Definitely worth playing if you enjoy horror games. (It also helped me improve my 3D work by giving me inspiration for textures, materials, atmosphere, and environmental storytelling.) GG
