Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 19 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I hated the game for the first 2 hours. At 9 hours in, I'm starting to see the light! It's a good game. I bet with Invictus it'll be even better. With that said, I can't believe Paradox thought this game was going to be good... the UI is garbage. But it was an important lesson that taught them how to make a good UI for CK3 and Victoria 3 and EU5 and the upcoming HOI5. Man... looking forward to Invictus mod!
Very good game. The UI is much clearer than all other Paradix games I have played and is easy to grasp the basics of the game quickly. I will admit that I only ever play the game while using the Invictus mod as it adds and changes things from the base games that paradox never got aorund to doing. Hopefuly paradox does come back to Imperator as it has a lot of potential.

Душная дрисня без контента. Всё на мододелах держится и те уже хер клали соразмерный тому, что клали сами парадохи
I hope this game will be recreated in EU5 as a mod. And yes, reviews for Imperator Rome are pointless because it's unlikely this game will be revived, but I prefer to believe in fairy tales that my one positive review can influence the game that remains in my heart.
If you love to rage quit, this is your game! Fun gameplay, cool learning curve, overall impressive
(game not completed at 1 hour on review time, part of my review all of my games effort) (short version) I'll admit it's a skill issue on my part, Paradox games often leave me confused and a bit frustrated, the only one I kind of understand well is Stellaris. Due to the tutorial not being user friendly I wouldn't recommend this game to family or friends. $40 seems a good price if you're good at Paradox games. (no long version needed)
Dieses Spiel ist zu Unrecht das unterschätzteste historische Paradoxspiel. Dieses Spiel lässt dich in die Antike eintauchen und hat mehr Liebe verdient.
It's actually quite good now!
Underrated Old Paradox game (when they were good and not shoveling out junkware).
