Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 19 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Paradox is far too greedy for me to recommend any of their games.
Great community and the game is fun
I have a ton of hours in Paradox games, and it took me a minute to get into this. Now after a few hundred hours, I'd call this my favourite. I love Roman history and this game, when modded out is an absolute banger. Beautiful map, not too dense system wise. A big thanks to the modding community for holding this game down.

Political systems for dummies vol. Wait. Romans didn't have a concept for 0. vol.Nothing then I guess Has some interesting mechanics that were carried over to other paradox games but isn't very fun overall - there isn't really that much to do outside of map painting. Buy only if you really like antiquity and think about Roman Empire at least *twice* a day.
Imperator Rome is potentially a simply game in comparison to the rest of paradox games yet in that simplicity it is good even great at achieving a sense of developing a nation, working out where to invest in your country and dealing with political debauchery while completing your goals. The game isn't revolutionary but if you enjoy the Roman Republic period and mostly mechanics derived from EU 4 you will find a liking to as a viable grand strategy game based in antiquity .
