ICEY is a 2D side-scrolling action game and a META game in disguise. As you follow the narrator's omnipresent voice, you will see through ICEY's eyes and learn the truth about her world. The narrator will constantly urge you in one direction, but you must ask, "Why? Why am I following his directions?“ Obey? Rebel?

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 20 → 6.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I legit could not tell if the combo/movement genuinely suck or it's my keyboard that causing half the problem. But, Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥, having almost 0 to no i-frame kinda ruin this game for me(ffs the laser is such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pain to deal with during boss fight). Love the humor, but not the combat.

Beginning: okay so i love this game. like a lot. i played it on the switch when i was a kid. and when it's on sale it's worth it.... like a 7 hour experience. as of writing i'm currently doing dlc then going onto hard mode. i wont spoil much story wise but i recommend u read this. btw u CAN change difficulty by just staying at the door icey comes out of in lost woods. it'll keep ur progress too. allows u to get the achievement for not waking icey up too if u missed the achievement Story: honestly... not much to say. i mean it's OKAY and i understand that the story isn't supposed to be deep or what the "main" goal is. but... eh. when u reach a hole u can jump down in from lost woods just do it. has enemies you'll want to see and get used to plus other missable stuff but other then that feel free to explore and try stuff. Gameplay: honestly i like and dislike it. i think the fundamental aspects of it are fun. but it's very janky. first of all moves are basically useless as i'll explain later. the enemy variety is so limited and feels bs a lot of the time cuz of jank. you dont get any I-Frames usually and when u do it's not much and can be overwritten at times. your dash has no invincibility and same for recovery which it doesn't tell u that u can do that. perfect dodging is so tight to where it's just honestly not worth it u might as well just dodge away FROM the attack and if it happens then cool. u do have a shield which prevents u from being staggered when attacking and when it's off u take more damage and can be staggered no matter what till it's on. u can regain by either finishing off an enemy with the unique finisher or wait. imma be real here it is useless. as in u dont keep it. after halfway through the game enemies will just break it instantly. it's good for maybe a hit or two? but after that you'll just get it broken. it's not worth investing upgrades into unless everything else u can buy is useless. and also for some reason money doesn't save when u die unless u went back to a checkpoint and saved or did an ending i dont get that. and when going into chapter select ur forced to select a chapter so if ur curious about it then whatever u did before u'll do again Enemies: enemies have guards that u can break with heavies but... it physically doesn't do anything from testing and is more likely to get them to trigger their retaliation attack (red exclamation mark) WHICH btw a lot of later enemies have a lot of bs attacks that is very hard to dodge and hard/near impossible to get them staggered to combo off them so u cant be aggressive. it's more affective to take ur time which is... not great for a combat game when u can't combo it's the main aspect of it. so in short... unless u wanna get bs grabbed that insta destroys ur shield or hit in general just count in ur head for a few secs then back off and repeat Moves: okay so most are useless. u have limited money and you'll have to grind for the rest so spending is a good idea. and it's not a big deal cuz there's not a lot of upgrades but the placement of moves and upgrades isn't placed well at all in the shop. but honestly some moves are just copies of others or are bad against most enemies. idk why some just weren't merged into other upgradable ones or just not put in as it's legit just the same dlc: it's fun. i mean the jankness of the game is still there but like i said it's a fun game and it's free. i recommend u do it once having everything tho. u can access it anytime when u get to the part which is like kinda midway through the game. money u get doesn't save on death so i recommend u not do that. also uh play it on easy as the gameplay is janky and has no saves AND changes enemies to be different to how ur used to in terms of them being staggered, damage and health Outro: in terms of the game it's fun. it has problems and i dont think i'd really say this is a "good" game in the sense that you'd enjoy it for more then 7 hours and the writing is ok. imo i think gameplay REALLY needed to be worked on more and the story and dialogue should have been too. as much as i get this is what the game was going for in terms of writing it does kinda feel stale after a while. i wish we got a lot more branching paths and personal dialogue with the narrator it just feels a bit stale. i recommend u buy it on sale it goes for cheap and it'll keep u entertained for a bit
