Game has many improvements since launch
Refunded the game Shortly after release due to poor performance & confusing design choices Devs have been laid off and development on the game has/will cease, save yourself the money
Feels so close to something good, but misses the mark in a lot of really frustrating ways. There's a ton of little things that feel *just* a little bit off in a way that makes me wish it was better.

I’ve spent 7.5 hours in this game, and while the core gameplay and art style were fantastic, the technical issues are unforgivable I recently lost my entire save file and was forced to restart from the very beginning with no way to recover my progress. With the latest update from Heart Machine stating that Breaker has 'reached its conclusion' and development has effectively shifted to other early-stage projects, it is impossible to recommend this game It is heartbreaking to see a project with this much potential get abandoned in this state, especially when basic features like save stability are still broken Buying this now means paying for an unfinished, unsupported, and buggy experience.
♥♥♥♥ yall honestly for review bombing ts. The game is in beta.... give them time....
Devs abandoned the game
(edit review) Games def fun once you actually start getting better at it, (found out why some things seemed impossible, was a skill issue :p) unfortunate to hear what happened with the team but its still in a rather playable state, id give it a recommend despite the event. I still think the parry system is a bit too tight, though, especially when there's "parry" and "*perfect* parry" 6.5/10 will play more, and i hope whatever is left for development can at least push out a "full game" eventually, even if it ends up being small.
Arc Games, another publisher added to the list of publishers i will never be buying anything from in the future.
Had to leave a review on this one to counter all the negative reviews. I've had a lot of fun with this game, especially in multiplayer, but even just doing a solo run every so often. It took me a minute to get the combat down, but once you've got it, the fights are very satisfying. Gameplay reminds me a lot of Jak2 (especially the hoverboard mechanic) mixed with some roguelite elements, something like Necropolis. There's a lot of different ideas here and I think expectations were kinda all over the place because of that. Ex. although I classify this as a roguelite, it doesn't have a lot of meta-progression between runs. You can upgrade some of your abilities, but nothing will make you specialize too much one way or another. I'm totally okay with that though since the core gameplay is already there for me. I feel like it's easily worth a sale price as-is, maybe not the full $30. From the developers' discord, there's one more content update planned to close out the game. Hope it makes it even better, but I'll still be playing this on occasion, even in it's current state.
